Re: Portsmouth Clay 9 Symmes Valley 8. Final

Congratulations to the Clay Panthers-a great group of young ladies who very few people, including myself, believed in at the beginning of the season. You never give up! Keep it up Saturday.

Vikings-three classic softball games with Clay this year. Great season and best of luck in the future.

Re: Portsmouth Clay 3 Reedsville Eastern 2 FINAL

Very disappointed in the article in the Times this morning. There was no indication at all that this was a total TEAM win. Some very good defensive plays were made that should have been given some credit and EVERYONE contributed to this win. These girls have come so far from where they were at the b...

Re: SOC 1 Standings

Headhunter-How many of Clays games have you been to this year? The girls cannot field the ball and they do not practice defense.
And as far as Dick being as good of a coach as Teresa Ruby all I can say to that is HAHA

Re: SOC 1 Standings

You have to practice defense to decrease errors. And yes Lyndsay pitched a good game but was she the right pitcher to throw this game? Alot of ND players are very familiar with her. In my opinion it all comes down to coaching.

Re: SOC I 2010: Predictions and thoughts

Believe it or not there are many people at Clay who are just as glad to see Cami gone as the rest of the SOC1 probably is. Clay will win games but as other people have stated the SOC1 will be more competitive without the strong pitching of both Cami and Ali. Looking forward to a drama-free, injury-f...

Re: SOC I 2010: Predictions and thoughts

With the loss of the strong pitching for Green and Clay I think the SOC 1 will be a more competitive league this year. Have not seen Mader pitch but I hear she is good. Heard ND has a good pitcher also. Good luck to all teams-CAN'T WAIT TILL SOFTBALL SEASON!!!!

steely..I don't believe pan-man was referring specifically to basketball..just Clay athletics in general.Their softball team has been very successful in recent years and has gotten absolutely no respect. Clay fans are generally very respectful of other teams and fans. Maybe you could learn something...

Injuries

Any major injuries coming into the season? I know Clay has a few with the knee injury of Keely Craft this basketball season. Also heard Osborne is out with a broken thumb? Any truth to that one?

Re: Clay Lady Panthers

I've heard a lot about Jenkins. One of those things, however, is that she is ineligible. She isn't moving into the district so she's going to have to sit out a year in order to play. Nevertheless the Panthers will be strong this year. They're only returning one senior though. They will need a lot of...

SPAMONY

When exactly does Burg put their second string in? I have been to most of their games and it seems like they are more interested in running the score up. Even when they were crushing South Point it seemed like second string didn't go in until the 4th quarter.

Re: Swine flu vaccinations

The H1N1 flu is different from the regular flu. Therefore you must get both shots to be covered from the regular seasonal flu and the H1N1. I will hopefully be getting both when available. Also the "flu" bug changes every year- it is a different virus causing the flu each year. Researchers...

How does everyone think the Lady Panthers will look this season? They obviously lost a few big players in the senior class. But they're still quite a young team. What are your thoughts?
