Katie Osburn- Belpre

The season is almost here, anybody have any new predictions from what they have seen or heard from scrimmages. Players, teams to watch, etc.?

Oh..lol..I'm not.going to lie..my daughter pitched for one of the wellston teams...I was just trying to b a proud dad..ha ha...but I don't think you were talking about our team...I do know there are some really good young players coming into the league the next couple years...should be fun to watch...

Hey eagle 7...Wellston had 2 teams in the junior high league...were the pitchers on the same team or was it one from each team...just wondered....I agree some nice freshmen should b coming in...I know eastern, southern and meigs all had nice teams...league should be pretty good for a while to come....

Geno (Zane Trace) Sosby (Whiteoak) Meeks (Alexander) Who else? (Many more) Have heard good things about all of these players. Would also add Cunningham (Burg) & Edwards (Eastern). Also, I was a part of the Jr. High league that had a lot of the TVC teams in it (Eastern, Belpre, Southern, Meigs, ...

I am curious about the how the pitching is going to be in the hocking? What was the average speed last year? And who will be some of the pitchers to watch out for?

I agree, that game was a fun one to watch and both teams were impressive. I don't read too much into seeds so it wouldn't bother me or surprise me to see belpre end up a 3.

Regardless of the seeds I think Alexander, Belpre, and NY are all pretty tight in their levels of play. I also think belpre is better then some people give them credit for.

The refs weren't terrible all around but that foul call to give Hoffman his 5th was one of the worst calls I've ever seen, he was straight up and didn't move a bit.

If belpre plays defense like they did against megis they'll be tough to beat, that's been there weak spot this year, their hitting and pitching is usually pretty good.
