Belpre will most likely struggle this year. Lost all pitching in Nestor, and Whitington. Lost their big bats in the middle of the order in hatfield and whitington, and the middle of the infield got a whole lot weaker with the transfer of ullman. may be a rebuilding program for a while.

Belpre 8-2 over river valley

Belpre- Drew Nestor, Wes hatfield, Jesse Whittington

Belpre was able to pull away with an 8-2 win. Drew Nestor had 15 k's and didn't give up a hit until the 6th inning. Nestor also went 3-4, Wes hatfield went 2-2 and Jesse whittington went 1-3(I'm not sure). They'll advance to play Alexander Saturday for the sectional championship

tough loss for the golden eagles, Nestor was able to go 9 innings with 15 k's but belpre couldn't seem to get that big 2 out hit with several opportunities

Word is that belpre will travel up route 7 today to take on the yellowjackets

Southern is a very solid team but Nestor did have 10 k's in 5 innings of work. If belpre can get their bats going, and get a better performance from Nestor at southern, I feel belpre may have a chance to split with a very good southern team
