Re: 2009-2010 Peebles Indians...Thank you
I posted this on another thread, but thought it was also appropriate here. To the Peebles kids, congrats on a super season, and I'm not just talking about your great record or team/individual stats. I also mean congratulations on bringing a school and community together, from the kindergarten studen...

Re: Ironton 69 Peebles 68 in 2OT
how about the ironton student section. While it's great to see students supporting their team, when it becomes rude and disrespectful, someone needs to take charge. I had no problem with either student section for most of the game; they added a lot of noise and energy to the game. And Ironton's is ...

Also, just for the record, I don't think NA fans are a "sorry booty bunch of losers" or whatever that said...and I don't think most people in Peebles feel that way either.

Re: Peebles vs. North Adams, Part III
I, for one, do not need to be "humbled." As Indian Fanatic said very well, there's nothing that I took for granted this year...we won by very narrow margins to teams that everyone thought we should beat by 20 points or more. If you're not referring to the kids, but the fans, then I'm here ...

Re: Manchester 71 Peebles 68 Final Feb. 24
These Peebles kids have been through so much this season...some extremely close games, 1,000 point and record-breaking moments, the death of a player's father, injuries, snow days, makeup dates, etc....and through it all they've brought a community together and made everyone so proud. Not only becau...

I'd say those kids want it more!!
A lot of pressure for such young men, and I hope they remember how proud they should be no matter what happens. It will be so fun to root them on all the way!

Re: Peebles High School- What will the South Point game bring?
just looking at the signage on the walls tells me so much about the pride that the schools, the communities have for the team(s) ... nothing like it ...last night I rolled into the Golden Arches in Peebles before the game to get a coke, walked in, looked around to see a couple of families from todd...

Re: Private Religious school drawing from Large Cities.
Private schools should have their own tournaments. The game is completely different for private and public schools; "apples and oranges" as someone else said. I think it's sad that these private schools don't have the community and student support that other SE Ohio public schools have, an...

Re: North Adams vs. Piketon
Yeah the reason is, that they play in the SHL. Oh my...that argument is older than the hills where these kids play. Give me a break; although I won't ever be a North Adams fan, I can recognize a good team when I see one. They've been playing non-league schools since the regular season ended, not to...

Re: Peebles sophomore scores 1000 points!
Congratulations to #14---we couldn't have asked for a more exciting game! One of the greatest qualities of this kid (besides a great shooting percentage, obviously) is that he's a genuinely nice person, and he truly deserves this awesome accomplishment. He had the whole crowd on their feet, holding ...

Re: Manchester @ Western....2-17
"The SOC 1 Champions, best team in Western's history, SOC player of the year, Regional final team please welcome your 2008-2009 Western Indians!!" Are you SURE they announced it like that? I thought the best team in Western's history was the '68-'69 team that played in the state champions...

Re: Peebles @ Fairfield
Honestly, that was one of the roughest games I've ever seen. So, 2Legit, you probably should ask someone much more reliable (and honest) than your "source." It started with the refs not even noticing that Andrew Seaman was still on the floor (bleeding) after a scuffle with another player g...

Re: Peebles @ North Adams 1/9
Very proud of those Peebles boys...they showed complete team effort tonight. Sure, some aspects of their game could use improvement (free throws, 3 point shots, anyone?) but no one is perfect. Even superstar Unger missed a few. It's great to see the kids in red and blue making a community come toget...

Looks to me like personal stats instead of the idea of winning the game as a team or losing as a team
There you go again...looks to me like your personal bias against some of these kids is clouding your judgment.

Re: What have your cheerleaders done this summer?
I know this is a little late, but the Peebles Cheerleaders attended a UCA camp this summer at Ohio State. They earned 1st place for their Home Routine, 2nd place in the Extreme Routine, and 4 girls were named All Stars. They recently used some of the camp materials for their routine for the SHL chee...

Re: SHL COMPETITION
Actually, the SHL cheerleading results are: Varsity 1. West Union 2. Peebles 3. North Adams It was discovered, after the awards ceremony, that there was an error in the scoring process, and the points were miscalculated. Once they double-checked the scores, the actual places were announced. Of cours...
