Re: Week 1: Trimble @ Nelsonvile: Who ya got?
As long as Coach Faires did any kind of scouting of Nelsonville-York, Trimble will win. Nelsonville-York is running the same offense it always has, with a smaller backfield than usual, the backs dance before running into the hole, they won't throw too often, but when they do they'll throw it to 22. ...

Re: 2012 Nelsonville-York Schedule
IMO, I think everyone is overlooking an important aspect about the season, and that is whether or not Nelsonville-York will even be good this year. Most are assuming that they will "Reload" instead of "Rebuild" like usual. I will say that everything was put into the class before ...

Re: DV R19 Qtrs: Ports West (9-1) @ Nelsonville-York (9-1)
Nelsonville-York might have only let up a total of 51 points before the Athens game, but how many of those teams had an effective passing game? Athens had a good passing game going, but they went deep instead of keeping it short to intermediate where it was tearing up the Nelsonville-York secondary....

After seeing Athens play last week, I definitely have to go with Jackson in this game.

Re: DV R19 Qtrs: Ports West (9-1) @ Nelsonville-York (9-1)
Know nothing about Portsmouth West, but if they have an effective passing game, and a hard hitting defense, I see them winning this game with ease. Athens was intercepted on the deep ball mostly, a jump ball up for grabs for any player. If they get a nice steady run game going then it will open up e...

Well speed won't be a factor in this game, as long as the rain keeps up. It will come down to who has the size, feet, and technique.

Re: Week 6: (3-2) Wellston @ (5-0) Nelsonville
I didn't say you have no talent, I said "I wouldn't say it's the most talent they've had on a team," other Nelsonville-York teams have had the same if not more talent. They've still got talent. I didn't say the coaches were terrible, just said that they don't have to do much since the play...

Congratulations bucks good win is this the most talent on one team you guys have had for a while? You guys got great coaching and tremendous skill kids i think that you guys can make a good run at it this year in playoffs good luck and keep those kids healthy. It seems that if you lost a player you...

Re: Week 6: (3-2) Wellston @ (5-0) Nelsonville
Nelsonville-York has their weaknesses, its just that no team has been able to expose them because they have weaknesses where the Buckeyes have theirs. One big weakness is in the passing game. The wide receivers for Nelsonville-York are inconsistent and sometimes hit a cold spell, the exception to th...

This was just way too easy so it's either one or another, is Nelsonville-York just that good, or was it, Trimble is having an off year?

Re: A Theory about the Future of Football in Athens County
If you think Phil Faires is too predictable then Dave Boston Jr. is right there with him. Any team that watches Nelsonville-York's films can tell what they run in certain situations, where their weaknesses are, how to exploit them, and Boston won't change a thing even if he knows the other team can ...

Re: Thomas Taggert(Nelsonville-York) signs with Mt. Union
Sorry, but I do not think Thomas Taggart has what it takes at the next level. It is great that he was recognized by Mount Union, but seeing his performance against teams clearly better than Nelsonville-York i.e. St. Clairsville and Minford he just didn't seem to have what it takes to make it at the ...

Re: Tri-Valley Conference Baseball
Looks like Nelsonville-York is off to a slow start already without even playing a single game yet. That's too bad. I'm looking for Meigs to be the top team in the Ohio and Trimble to be duking it out with Wahama in the Hocking. Should be an interesting year.

Re: Nelsonville-York Football 2011
Hey moonschien, Coach Boston only cared about the kids that were going to be seeing the field that week. If they didn't contribute to the progression that Friday night, then he expressed his displeasure with whomever it was and that was it. And only for football was he like that, any other sport psh...

Re: Nelsonville-York Football 2011
Those 29 he dressed for the last game most likely deserved it! It's not his fault only 29 were dressed, all the fault is on the kids for being ineligible or any other reason they were out. My vote is with Meade, but I don't think he wants the job. JMO It is the job of the head coach to ensure all o...

Re: Thank you Dave Boston jr.
Anyone can easily replace Boston, he didn't do too much coaching. If he were as great a coach as people say, then he could have turned that Alexander program around. I believe that it's all in the athletes and the Offensive and Defensive Coordinators calling the plays. Given that I say Nelsonville-Y...
