Re: Coal Grove v/s Chesapeake 1/21/2014
Peake cannot be so scared as they were the first 3 1/2 periods @ Fairland. Scared to shoot ,scared to rebound. Poor effort until around 4 minute mark in the 4th after Saunders' big block on the big slow kid underneath.

Re: sheds
First day of black powder season I got a half shed buck .I have to wonder about the timing of the season. How many fully shed bucks are checked in on antlerless tags ? Wouldn' t a little earlier be better?

Re: WK3 Chesapeake @ Symmes Valley
Do you mean On Track ? They're pretty much untracked or derailed or something. SV by 12. Meadows is a great player and a greater kid but he can't do it all.

A few more .223 and 7.62x39 showing up here and there at somewhat higher prices. The 22 LR still surprisingly scarce.

Re: 22 long Rifle ammo
If the Libs were as good at public service (not to be confused with politics)as they are being gun SALESMEN,this country would be much better off.If anything good can be said about the short ammo situation it is that hopefully the emphasis will go back to marksmanship and making each shot well place...

As long as it's legal there will be transfers. Like it or not.No one school has a monopoly on it.

22 long Rifle ammo
Has anyone seen 22 LR ammo for sale lately ? Where ? How much ?What's the reason for the disappearance ? Is there a shortage or is it ammo hoarders buying it up due to the Liberal agenda to damage or destroy the Second amendment ?

Re: Chesapeake Panthers Baseball 2012
In the books an error is an error and a strikeout is a strikeout regardless of age so don't play that game . Another question -- How many times does a batter need to strike out before a DH is put in for him or he's replaced unless he's getting prefered treatment -- even if he's a "sapling"...

Re: New coach at Chesapeake
Tough situation you're talking about here with the options available - though a lot of time some experience is better than none. The older guys haven't had the best coaching in the world in the past - and it shows- but I do think that small ,slow and weak won't win you many games either.Chesapeake's ...

Great season girls !!! You never lost a game you were favored in . Thanks Seniors for leading this group to a rarely reached level for our program. Best of luck to Amanda Ruffner as she moves to the next level at Fairmont State.

Re: New coach at Chesapeake
Practices have gone well -with a lot of young faces with a mix of the upperclassmen all working hard. As long as basketball lasts-we hope a long time- it will be hard to really see how good things will be.

Coach Clark DID a fine job--- in Football--- We are talking about BASEBALL here. My findings are that Ray Boster has taken the head baseball coaching position . Best of luck to him. Let's hope the school will back him and the players to get off to a good start.

Anyone know when a class is scheduled anywhere from Portsmouth to Gallipolis in the near future ? I'd like to get in one in the next week or two. Thanks.

He'd never sabotage the team -- not what I was getting at . It's just unusual for that caliber of player to be so far out of it. I too hope it's a one-time thing. Lotsa basketball yet to play. GO PEAKE !!!

Re: 02/04 Mingo Central vs Chesapeake
What's up with that ? It wasn't like he didn't have any open looks. His defense was very good.It was like he was being told not to shoot or he wasn't confident in his shot. His lone FT attempt was bricked badly unlike his usual smooth accurate style. Hope everything is OK.

Re: New coach at Chesapeake

Re: New coach at Chesapeake
I totally agree that discipline is needed. A decision needs to be made SOON .Perhaps the two candidates you mentioned could work together since a good assistant is very valuable. One player who was a major distraction has moved away since last year and should make someone's job easier here . Best of...
