Re: Piketon versus Ironton 3/8

Kochendoerfer is a good player and contributes to Irontons team alot, but he is to inconsistent to be considered a major player. Maybe that will change when he is a senior

Re: Piketon versus Ironton 3/8

I'll have to go with Piketon on this one and also with the edge in coaching with Lisath.Hes been there as a coach and player. He knows what to expect.

Coach93. As far as I know the job at West isn't even open. You also need to get your facts straight about Kitchen leaving Green

Re: Minford High School coach resigns

I heard he just wanted more time for family and kids.Thats understandable. The sport takes a lot of time away from family. Its about a year round job anymore if you do it right

Re: Green vs South Webster 1st Round Sec.

Frank-n-Beans. I have to agree with one maybe two things you have said. The BOE is definitely spineless as was shown this year. Secondly, I doubt Fraley will settle for a jv job and have his strings pulled even more than they were this year by a board member, but he WOULD learn many OTHER things from...

Re: Green vs South Webster 1st Round Sec.

Its a shame that a teacher from Green would would say things that he has said in his post especially about certain kids that that play basketball for Green. What a classy guy he is. The kids know who he is and he will be exposed. I'm sure Mr Hopper will be greatful to know also

Re: Green vs South Webster 1st Round Sec.

I didn't mean to make it sound like Matt Clarke didn't do anything tonight. He is definitely their leader. I just meant they needed some scoring from him tonight because Webster tried to stop Ratcliff and Stapleton.Matt is a true competitor and the only senior that played basketball all the way thro...

Re: Green vs South Webster 1st Round Sec.

After watching this game I couldn't figure out the reasoning for the game plan that Green had. They took way to many 3's, 2 of 16 I believe they said on the radio on the way home.Webster was 2 of 6 on 3's. Webster controlled the tempo of the game but neither team played very well at all but Webster ...

Re: Green vs South Webster 1st Round Sec.

You are right Hoot, Greens zone defense is to open in the middle which a zone is supposed to force outside shots and Webster got inside many times the last game but just missed to many shots. They need to play a little man also. Queen can't handle Ratcliff inside and if Green uses Poe also, that poss...

Re: Green vs South Webster 1st Round Sec.

After seeing Green play Webster I think with a change at point guard and using a player or two in sub roles a little different they should make it to the district. Will have to continue to get the ball inside first which will help open it up for Stapleton on the outside. If not, smart teams will star...

Re: Green vs South Webster 1st Round Sec.

You are right about the SHL being better than the SOC1. It is big time weak, but its still basically the same size schools and anything can happen on one night. You gotta play on the court and not on paper. A little confidence and momentum can go along way. Oak Hill will still have a tough time getti...

Re: Green vs South Webster 1st Round Sec.

Let me tell you how it all is. This whole tournament that Green is in is really wide open for anyone to advance in that bracket until they get to Oak Hill.Manchester just beat Whiteoak last night with a 6-14 record by one point in overtime at Manchester. No one is really that good and can be beaten i...

Re: St. Joe @ South Webster Sat Feb 21

I thought Webster was flat last night. Didn't seem to be fired up. Could be because of so many games in a short span of time. They better be ready Monday. If they don't stop Ratcliff inside and Stapleton on the outside they will be in trouble, but you never know about Green either. Will they be ready

Re: Green vs South Webster

HUGHES LOOKED SHAKEY LAST NIGHT WHEN HANDLING THE BALL WITH PRESSURE ON HIM. HE LOOKED LIKE HE WAS NOT FINDING THE OPEN MAN ON DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. WITH NO EXPERIENCE ITS HARD TO HANDLE THE BALL,RUN THE OFFENSE AND FIND THE OPEN MAN.LOOKS LIKE CLARK WOULD BE DOING THE BALL HANDLING CHORES. HE IS A S...

I think you could be right He made his bed at aGreen a long time ago I don't think he wants to sleep in it again. From what I hear Marty mills will be the next guy in charge.Don't take it to the bank but that could very well happen.Just ask a certain board member.Hes his buddy and will be controled ...

Re: Green vs South Webster

Green will basically have to stick with the same game plan with Webster. They have to get the ball inside as much and as many times as possible, but can only do that if they hit some outside shots to keep the defense honest and not be able to pack it inside.Clark will need to step his game up offensiv...
