The newspaper article in the Messenger said that Thompson will be pitching and possibly playing infield. It was nice to see Cal at the game last Friday, that shows a lot for a coach to show up to watch a kid play that has already signed.

Hmm, that's funny. Not what I heard. I've been told that the fact of the matter is that a contract for the 2010-2011 season has not been signed yet, by anyone.

Federal Hocking has 4-5 BIG kids that they will use to shut Gutherie down, but he will be a handful, for sure... I have never understood why they have Freshmen and Varsity tournaments and nothing for JV. Tournaments give the kids something fun to look forward to and work towards, it doesn't have to be for a "title" like the varsity ones are.
