Re: Ironton "Play anyone" but West, "Play anywhere" but the Westside

I've been out of the inner circle of youth football since my youngest (39 yr. old) was in 5&6 grade. It seems to me that any volunteers, coaches, advisors, team and league officials should have at least a background check prior to being interviewed. That's not to say they shouldn't be given a se...

Congratulations to the Valley Indians! I have to say I'm a little surprised, but they broke through to get a win.

Re: Streaming Killing Attendance?

Thanks to some incredibly wonderful people, West students are admitted free. I personally pay a little extra for season tickets at home, but I don't travel as well as I used to. $6 a ticket is right at the limit for many families in our area.

Re: Northwest @ Southeastern 8.18.23

Did I hear correctly a good NW player went to Ironton, but decided to return? If not, I apologize for listening to gossip. But if so, why?

Re: SOC 1 Champs Northwest vs SOC 2 Champs West.

According to OHSAA both schools have 160 boys, or AA. According to the Southern Ohio Conference both schools earned a conference championship. I for one refuse to allow myself to think this could be a "blowout" for West. It could be a look into the future of the SOC II for the upcoming se...

Thanks, then I wonder at what level they would go to alternate sites, final four in the region?

OHSAA Playoff Brackets

I'm just curious if anyone has seen an actual bracket that the Ohsaa is going to use for the 16 team playoffs? I have heard 1 plays 16, etc., plus I have heard top teams getting a bye.

Re: WK7 Minford - Portsmouth West

West is a team waiting for a tougher opponent. They found a match against Fairland and last game against Waverly, but neither were the better team. West was in the driver's seat in both those contests, but "the weakness" as some fans on here call it crept in to lose one, keep the other to...

Re: Coaching opening

I have heard rumor of West possibly dropping girls soccer. Hopefully this is not true, that would make 3 girls teams dissolving in the past couple years (Peebles and West Union were the first two) I would apply for the position before letting that happen. The numbers were always good enough to fiel...

I was just wondering if the West girls job is open or not. I haven't heard anything about it, but I think the coach wanted to retire. I have heard rumor of West possibly dropping girls soccer. Re: West vs Burg 12/9

First real test for both teams. This first game could answer questions about West, still on the mend getting healthier as time passes. By the second meeting, I would say they will both be the area's best 2 teams by far. GO WEST!!!

Don't forget about South Webster, they were not available for previews due to them playing into the final four in volleyball.

Re: WK7 Portsmouth West - Minford

When was this decision made? Last I heard, West was hosting Minford Saturday night at Valley. I was told about 4:00 today from someone within the school. I could be wrong, but a pretty reliable source. I stand corrected, she messed up the text. It will be at Valley. Thanks, I guess I get to use my ...

Re: WK7 Portsmouth West - Minford

Change of plans, apparently this will be played at Minford. Are they doing like they did Waverly, play the next two years at West? You’ll have 7 home and 3 away next year. Yes, that's what I've been told atleast. When was this decision made? Last I heard, West was hosting Minford Saturday night at ...
