Re: 4/2/21 Scores
Burg has a solid program and are very well coached. West has talent but not playing at all up to their potential. Big difference, Burg hires coaches, West hires teachers.

Re: Dictrict 14 Honors
Who does the voting on these? Kinda seems disrespectful to the the coach of Portsmouth West. No doubt Ater did great but that was fully expected. IMO taking a group of kids who barely played any varsity last year to 18-5 and a Sectional Title is what I would consider to be COY. Congrats to both coa...

Re: #2 Wheelersburg vs. #3 Eastern Brown 3/5/21 @ Piketon
High pressure defense will often force poor decisions on the court. West defended their butts off last night and they have all year. That was absolutely the key to their success this year. I can see this game going either way. Whoever handles the pressure better will come out on top.

Re: The West Side Winators
What a season for West basketball. 18-5 with a sectional championship. Third place finish in SOCll. They captured the hearts of the entire district with the season they had. I’m so proud of these boys and all they have accomplished this year. Hopefully this is the catalyst for good things to come fo...

Re: The West Side Winators
Couldn’t be more proud of this group of young men. Going through the uncertainty of somewhat surprisingly losing Coach Hafer well after the season ended last year. Going a couple months with no coach at all until coach McClanahan was hired. No summer basketball to learn a brand new coaching program ...

Good win for the Senators that have played well at times and seem to be improving week to week. New coaching staff, new system will take time.

Re: Gov. DeWine Requests 'No fans in the stands', OHSAA To Respond
Let’s force all the kids to get together at Billy Bob’s house for pizza and beer and watch the game live stream since they can’t get into the games. Does Dewine really think people are gonna stay home???

Re: Gov. DeWine Requests 'No fans in the stands', OHSAA To Respond
It’s all BS. These kids might as will be playing pickup ball at the Y. No fans, no energy, no excitement. The original plan of 15 to 20% capacity was perfectly fine and safe. Dewine always have to take it one step to far.

Re: Coaching Vacancies 2020-2021
So glad to finally have a coach at West Portsmouth. We are now a month behind so we have a lot of work to do. Good luck to the boys and coach McClanahan. A lot of talent returning this season so hopefully it all comes together quick.

2/3 of West’s varsity players would normally be playing on the JV squad, not this year. Wheelersburg wins. West’s future looks strong.

Re: Jr. High week 6
Burgs “transfers” make all the difference. Not only does it make them significantly better but it also negatively affects the other programs in the area. To say otherwise is ludicrous.

Re: SOC Previews
I thought the Symmes Valley, Notre Dame and Eastern clubs looked strong in the previews in SOCI. I Feel that division is a toss up. Minford looked to be the front runner in SOCII.
