Re: Warren football
I know what I am going to say will not be popular with some in the Warren area, but it is true. They have a guy in the school that they should have left alone in 2001. Letting him go was when the coaching carousel started. He would have kept the program going. He went 4-6 with an ok team with a TOUG...

Re: WHO'S IN THE SEOAL NOW FOR 2015
Warren is officially a member of the OVAC Ohio Valley Athletic Conference, plus the SEOAL. Portsmouth is out of SEOAL after this school year and Gallia is out after next school year. The SEOAL is on its way to extinction.

The Principal at Marietta has been the Asst. Principal at the high school for several years now. Not sure but I believe at least 3-4 years.

Re: TVC says no to Jackson and Warren
The OVAC is a REAL conference. Some schools are dual conference schools. It has 5 divisions with around 60 schools. 5A where Warren would be is Parkersburg South, John Marshall, Morgantown, University, Brooke, Wheeling Park, Steubenville, Weir, Indian Creek, and Cambridge. The division champions are...

Re: Warren Job
Looks like it will be the same ol same ol. Fish is going to be "O" coordinator, Curry Ryan defensive coordinator, with all the same assistants. Riffey, Johnson, and Hutchison. Heard they are going to be 4-3 and spread offense. Also heard Henthorn not playing and Isner moving to West Virgin...

Re: Warren Job
Coach Fish from Alexander was at lifting last night. Told boys he was assistant but might be head coach. Really! There has been no decision who is head coach but bring on an assistant without a head coach making that decision who is on his staff. Unprecedented behavior at best. Good luck with this!

2nd interviews last week. still no teaching openings. final 3 were fish from alexander, junior high coach from trivalley, and justice from chilly. devol never applied, bolen missed interview, and mccoy from wv dropped out. hard to get a good quality coach when there are no teaching openings. heard t...

Re: Warren Job
Interviews last night. Look for Holbert's horse in the race Jon Bolen to get job. No teaching so they need to hire someone that is close in proximity and can get here for practices. Look for 4 hour practices after school fellas! What happened to Shawn Taylor being a top candidate? Heard he had the i...

Gallia wins 35-7. Warren having trouble scoring. Warren defense can't seem to stop anyone from scoring.

Re: Ed Cromly steps down/fired!?!
I've been coaching football for 30+ years and in my observations anytime a coach LEAVES during the season(by retirement or whatever) there is more to the story. MOST in season retirements are due to the coach being asked to step down or he'll be fired. administrators usually let coaches go out grace...

Re: Warren-Point Pleasant scrimmage
warren scored once on points second team and twice on points 3rd team. didn't move ball at all vs points first team. warrens defense looked good at times but definitely cannot cover the pass or stop the outside running game. if warren keeps the philosophy of blitzing EVERY play then they better prep...

Re: 2013 Warriors
auburntigerfan warren was wing-t last year, but the new offensive coordinator HATES the wing-t. he is a complete spread and inside/outside zone coach. it's all he really knows. look for spread with 3 and 4 wides and alot of passing. you'll see the 3-3 stack defensively with alot of blitzing. lots of...
