Re: OHSAA website, Fairland job open
I coached the kids youre talking about and yes they were a very talented bunch. Pee wee won 2 turf bowls going 19-1 over a two year span. I also coached them in MS . We were 6-2 with losses to Barboursville and a 3 OT thriller to the "peake". If my info is correct, these talented players ...

Re: Ohio Return to Play Law
I hate this. It will open a can of worms. I think this whole concussion thing is being blown out of proportion.

Other loss is to Coal Grove at Coal Grove.
Wins are against: Faiview (2), Green (2), Hannan, WV (2), White Oak, Western, Ohio Valley Christian, East, Raceland, Rose Hill (2), Glenwood and someone in the Paint Valley Classic that I can't remember.

Re: Division IV Sectional @ Northwest
St. Joe's record is 15-3 after last night's loss, I believe. Sounds like the Lady Flyers played a good game and a gritty effort from Notre Dame sealed the victory. The Flyers do have some nice outside shooters and yes, the two blondies can hit from outside. One is in the normal starting five with th...

Re: Division IV Sectional @ Northwest
New schools are nice, but if it were me, and I had a choice. I would keep the girls in that gym. They know how to beat you there. They make it very tough to get into an offense because of the size of the floor. There is no spacing to your offense. East has the same advantage, they are very tough to...

Re: Division IV Sectional @ Northwest
I wasn't short-changing ISJ... The only thing I knew was a 21 point victory at Whiteaok. Manchester beat Whiteoak by about 40 for somewhat of a reference and then by 20....so ISJ at 12-2could be the 2 or 3. Just had no clue on their record. Alrighty, then! Glad I could enlighten. :-D SJ has a coupl...

Re: Division IV Sectional @ Northwest
But something needs to be done . Maybe us big bully privates could ask for the leftovers from the list of scioto/lawrence co that have brand new facilities given to them by the taxpayers ? MD What is unfortunate as well, probably 70-75% of the parents of SJ students are paying taxes for the distric...

Re: Division IV Sectional @ Northwest
JMHO but I wouldnt schedule St Joe unless they agreed to play in a "real" gym . It is a different game up there for sure I mean they dont even have a full three point circle . As for the "real" gym comment, you can only use what you've got. Ironton barely allows the boys team to...

Re: Division IV Sectional @ Northwest
Visionquest- No problem, just wanted to clarify. Im wondering? How many of those 5 wins vs the sectional teams were at their home floor. I just noticed that they play very well on their home court, it was hard for our girls to do anything there. It might make a difference if the majority of their w...

Re: Division IV Sectional @ Northwest
Sorry, but Western played St Joes at their place, and had alot of trouble adjusting to the smaller floor. Not saying they would beat them at a neutral floor, but it would be a different game. I think ND has to be the #1, with Eastern #2, but I think 3 is still up for grabs.... Thanks for the correc...

Re: Division IV Sectional @ Northwest
At 12-2, St. Joe's Lady Flyers are getting no love from Ironman92. Having won 5 in a row, all against teams in this sectional, they are ranked behind a team they just beat by 10 in Western. I would say St. Joe should have no worse seed than a #3 by looking at the records and whom they've beaten and ...

Re: Rules question
I spoke with OHSAA about this a coupe of months ago Ky teams play by Ky rules not Ohio rules they can play as many quarters Ky will allow we cannot issue technical fouls for this This is what I have been told, too. Sounds like the word needs to get out to the referee eagles73 spoke with or the OHSA...

Re: Who is the most animated coach on the sidelines ?
I know of coaches who are too much on the sidelines. How about one that screams rebound and/or box out when an opposing player is in his motion shooting foul shots? I've seen it more than once from one certain coach. I just cannot understand officials not saying something. Kind of bush league if you...

Re: Rules question
This has been a discussion that has gone on for several years when KY teams come across the river. It has been asked of the OHSAA and they OHSAA's answer is "we have no jurisdiction over KY teams and their quarter requirements." I have seen teams in kentucky only keep 5 or 6 guys out of th...

Why don't you try sticks and stones, that works better. I know all I need to know about you, a Glenwood homer. Speaks volumes.a_c_m wrote:Thanks Vision Quest.........you know nothing about me! Does it make you feel better that you go to name calling.
