#2 Portsmouth Clay @ #6 Portsmouth Notre Dame. Huge.
It simply doesn't get any better than this in regular season high school softball! Clay, ranked #2 in the state, versus conference rival Notre Dame, ranked #6 in the state. The Lady Panthers beat ND earlier in the season, 2-1, at Rubyville. Clay (no conference losses) can pretty much clinch the SOC ...

Re: Minford coach and AD crying foul...
If the family moves to another district, the kids are eligible to play in the new district are they not? Someone enlighten me. It seems pretty easy. You drive by the old house and see all the utilities cut off, no one living there, then you drive by the new house and see that they have established t...

Minford coach and AD crying foul...
Apparently Minford's coach and/or athletic director are more than a little sore that they lost two significant players to transfer to Clay. They have filed a protest, alleging among other things that the two girls haven't moved out of the district and are still living in their old house (false), and...

Re: Post season awards
Coaches choose District’s best PDT Sports Report The Coaches Association has released their 2011-2012 awards list for the girls teams in District 14. Notre Dame comes away with the biggest prizes locally as senior Jen Arnzen won Division IV Player of the Year and her coach, J.D. McKenzie won Div....

Re: Portsmouth Clay
Wouldn't she have to move into another district or else be required to sit out a year? I just don't see her doing that. I've heard she prefers soccer over basketball, and I know nothing about Clay's soccer program, but Clay's GBB team has some good players coming up. With Whitley returning, Redding ...

Re: Waterford (20-3) vs Eastern (16-5)
Hard to beat the same team three times in one season. Portsmouth Clay actually did a pretty good job on Brown and Drayer, holding them to 23 points combined. If Eastern can do that, they will advance IMO.

Some great pics that I'll cherish forever. Thank you.
Re: SOC 1
I think someone is reading too much into the post. Being excited for the teams prospects under a new skipper does not mean the outgoing coach was a slacker or didn't get the most out of his players. McCleese was an excellent baseball coach, and he did Clay a huge favor by staying on to coach softbal...

Re: Ports. West vs. Fairland
Congratulations West on a valiant effort against a really good Fairyland team. Really surprised you kept it that close. Must have been a great game to watch. BTW, I typed Fairyland on purpose, in honor of your coach who likes to run the score up on inferior teams. :aaaaa30

ND players laughing at Clay's troubles today in the first game didn't go unnoticed. Stay classy, ND.

Re: Portsmouth Clay
Unforced turnovers really killed the Lady Panthers today. They got off to a real slow start, but I was proud of the way they stepped up and outplayed Waterford in the second quarter, especially with senior Jordan Jenkins on the bench after rolling her ankle this week and being unable to play. Still,...

Re: Division IV District Semi-Final (Jackson)
could I ask what classless and transparent insult I threw towards the lady panthers that led you to comment on this thread ? Ask yourself that question. The point of my post was to state that the Lady Panthers are a much improved team that played some bigger schools tough throughout the season, and...
