Re: Monroe Central 24-25
Hope to see them play Wheelersburg after all I have heard. Ferry was the team that beat them last year, right? And then MC thumped them a couple of days later? Yes they split with Ferry. They locked down on Ferry’s big guy and got him in early foul trouble if I remember right. Glad to see Wheelersb...

Re: Monroe Central 24-25
Tough game coming up next Tuesday @ Ferry. First game of the season. Fill up on turkey tomorrow and then get ready for the Purple Riders. They’ve got a great team.

Re: Monroe Central 24-25
Have to figure Monroe Central is in one of the toughest districts since it was consolidated. All those schools are going to be strong. I agree. I hope their upgraded schedule prepares them better than last year. Surfsider what school are you from. You’re very respectful of all the Monroe Co and Bel...

Re: HS Playoffs in WV Threatened By Litigation
Could such a snafu ever hit Ohio? No. Because the OHSAA (as a governing body) actually does have good operating principles when it comes to rules, regulations, and how changes get implemented. I'm speaking strictly as to the organization -- clear communication, well-executed plans, consistency of t...

Re: Monroe Central 24-25
Not discounting the rest of the district, but out of MC, Hiland, and Malvern I think you would want to seed yourself so you are the only one out of those 3 on your side of the bracket.

Monroe Central 24-25
Football is officially over for the Noles. Now we turn to basketball. A lot of excitement over this year’s team. An outstanding senior class complemented by talent in the lower classes. Can MC take the next step? Hiland will always be there waiting.

Pulling for the Cougs but I have no idea who will win.
Frontier has played a decent schedule for them.

I feel this was a good draw for MC. That absolutely doesn’t mean we will win, but it looks like we’re facing a mirror image of us at least on offense.
I’m thinking carbon dated is right on this one. Taking the Noles by 6

Re: Burg vs Barnesville
It’ll be on turf. That may actually hurt Barnesville as they look to be built more as a mudder team. If Wheelersburg has speed to burn the turf will be their advantage. Fascinating game to pick and maybe the best 1st round game around Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure Barnesville ...

I've never heard of them so my guess is yes this is the first matchup of any kind. River almost beat them last year.

Re: Burg vs Barnesville
I’ve posted in other threads that Barnesville will have a hard time against the top teams in the region including Burg; but if you’re going come up to Belmont Co with the arrogance I’m reading on here then the Rocks will tear you up.
You have to understand they’ve had Wheelersburg circled for a year

Re: Week 10 Noble County Superbowl: Caldwell @ Shenandoah
Has the Zeps QB been playing? He went out in the MC game and didn't come back. Did he come back the next week, or has he been out all this time? If not that would explain the quiet offense. Looked like a big gap between him and the 2nd stringer.

MC should beat SS, but I'd stay in the 35 point range.

Re: Region 19 Outlook
Barnesville is kind of in the “unknown” part of the region. They’re 8-0 and blasted a very solid team in Fort Frye 51-16 and beat Monroe Central 44-14. If I’m not mistaken, they returned the majority of their team from last year and beat Columbus Academy last year in the playoffs. I wouldn’t sleep ...

Re: MOVL: Shenandoah (2-6) @ Barnesville (8-0)
They could schedule St. Ignatius and still wouldn’t make it out of R19. They’re a great OVAC team but average compared to Ironton and HP. And probably even Wheelersburg
