Re: WK1 Valley @ Portsmouth

Its tough to start a rebuild with a new coach, offense, and defense against the defending regional champions who only lost two players. Trojans players and coaches never gave up and made improvements in the 2nd half that they can build on for next week. Don't let the score fool you Portsmouth will b...

Re: Friday August 21 jamboree updates

I think it's interesting and worth noting that although this was a Portsmouth West scrimmage, it was week 1 for Johnson Central. This game counted towards their regular season win total. It did last year as well.

Looks like in the D3 bracket the Valley side is stacked when compared to the Oak Hill side.

Not sure what is questionable about it. The second the ball was snapped the whistles blew. Its a dead ball penalty.

Re: Scioto County Football Combine

4 days away from the combine at Portsmouth High!! It will be rain or shine. Inside the gyms if it rains and on the turf if it shines. Again walk up registrations for grades 7-12 will be welcomed and each entry will get lunch and a t-shirt. Look forward to seeing all who attend.

Re: Jackson Sectional

Not really a news flash when I claimed it over a week ago. Don't be shocked if Norm gets Chesapeake in at a 3 and bumps Portsmouth to 6 so he doesn't have to play the Trojans and plays the winner of south point and coal grove.

Re: Jackson Sectional

I will be shocked if they vote Portsmouth anywhere but 8 or 9. I see a Portsmouth vs Burg first round. I don't blame the other schools. I wouldn't want to play Eugene or Barrick either. It would be quite a slap in the face to go to the final four and represent the county well then get slapped all t...

Re: Any incoming Freshman that may start Varsity next year?

Look for Portsmouth to have 2 super frosh's. Both are 6'3" and have a lot of skill. One strictly plays post and the other plays post and runs the point.
