Re: Jr. High Rankings
These rankings are silly but I’ll play along because I’m bored. 8th Burg and Ironton are the two best teams I’ve seen. West and Jackson are good but not as good as burg or ironton. 7th West was the best I’ve seen. Jackson has a good tailback but overall I think west is better. Burg would be third. ...

Re: Portsmouth West (4-1) @ Minford (5-0)
Minford has been able to throw the ball better this year than years past. They are no longer a one deminsional team. West will have to stop both the run and pass game in order to come out on top. I've not hears anything about West's passing game but I have heard their run game is legit. Minford has ...

Re: Minford 22 Nelsonville-York 6
I see Minford being 7-0 heading into Wheelersburg. West is not unbeatable for Minford this year, however the unforced errors have to stop. 7-0 is very much a possibility. I watched West vs.PHS it was sloppy game in the first half; however both team are beatable, but have the potential to be good. I...

Re: Wk3 Nelsonville-York at Minford
Big game for the Falcons. If they can get this win they have a very good chance of going into conference play with a 5-0 record, but more importantly, confidence. The team appears to have more enthusiasm and urgency this season and it is showing on the field.

Re: 2018 Minford Falcons Football Outlook
Seriously though Bleeding Red, what record do you think the Falcons will finish with? Are there any losses from last year you think they will avenge this season? Is this Ruby’s last year or will he finally be on the right track? I believe if Minford found some way to win 5-6 games, the year would b...

Re: 2018 Minford Falcons Football Outlook
Getting back to Minford.....Ruby was put in a tough situation when Daniels left. Almost every assistant left with Daniels and he had to rebuild his entire staff. I believe this year he has a solid staff that can elevate the players. Jared McCray has been a huge help to the O-line and it showed in th...

Re: 2018 Minford Falcons Football Outlook
I really hope Minford makes strides in the right direction this year. But as seen on SEOPS the constant bickering back and forth is the exact thing that has this program where it is today. When kids hear it from their parents at home, it bleeds into the locker room. Just support whoever is starting...

Re: 2018 Minford Falcons Football Outlook
As of right now, it appears to be an even battle between Kelly and Vogelsong-Lewis. If I had to guess, they won't have a starter picked out until after the 2nd scrimmage.

Re: 2018 Minford Falcons Football Outlook
You figure if your wife is making the schedule she would be getting home games and games you can win for computer points. Like KY and WV teams, big school but not good enough to beat you!! Back in the 90’s and 2000’s up until 2010 Ironton, Portsmouth and Burg did it and got huge points!! Also how d...

Re: SOC II predictions 2018-19
Minford's loss of Darius Jordan for possibly the entire basketball season will put Minford in a bind at the guard position. I don't see Oak Hill being a threat this year. Burg and Waverly run the tables, Minford and Webster battle for 3rd and 4th

Re: 2018 Minford
I heard from several football players that Kelleys's parents pulled Ruby out of the weight room during Spring weights his sophomore year and told Ruby that the only way they would let their son play is if he promised Kelley the QB spot. Ruby told them there were two seniors competing, but he would g...

Re: 2018 Minford
Jared McCray is coming back to help coach the o-line this year. He should be a good addition to a group that needs a lot of work. As far as QB goes, I believe it will be Kelley's to lose starting out. From what I've heard, Vogelsong is going to be playing a lot of slot receiver and half back because...

Post by minford17 » Fri Sep 22, 2017 12:57 am Boy Hopper has you and whoever told you that snowballed. The players would play harder for his assistant coaches than him. A majority of the team could not stand him. However, they showed more visible respect for coach Knittle, Russell, Bucowitz, and D...

Re: 2018 SOC II
Have to love what the new coaches are doing with the program. Hopefully they will stick around for a while. According to some on here they are the biggest idiots around. Congrats to Aaron and his staff on the 9-0 start. Nobody said he was an idiot that I can remember. He played college baseball so ...

I believe I read that Holden had 20-some points and 20-some rebounds against Greenup County this year. Still, 34 is unreal.

Minford 1. Steve Yeagle (all-time leading scorer) 2. Chad Barber 6'7-6'8 3. Brandon Rowe (1,000 pt scorer) 4. Jared McCray (good luck stoping 6'6 320 lbs down low) 5. Austin McBee/Eli Parkes (both 1,000 point scorers) Also can't forget Trey and Butch Kelley, Kenton Gullion, Shawn Sommer, Ryan McGraw.

Re: WHO ARE THE BEST JUNIORS IN SOUTHEASTERN OHIO
Holden and then a big gap to everyone else Holden is definitely a great player, but I don't think it's "Holden and then a big gap" Agreed. I think if Holden were to play more in the post, he would be much more dominant. There might be only 2 players in the SOC (Darby & Blevins) that c...
