Re: What’s going on @ Marietta High School?
For those interested, here's the Board of Ed meeting from last night. Highlights mostly from 37:24 through 44 minutes https://vimeo.com/1033245033 Wow that place is a circus, and the ringleaders are on stage. I’m sure there may be recall elections in the near future In this state, school board memb...

Re: Waverly used to be Black and Gold?
The actual color GOLD. Not yellow that’s called gold. These are great and as another poster said with what technology is out there for uniforms now I would be eager to see Waverly go back to these Correct. The metallic hue to gold is known as, https://cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-wuht2iv/images/stencil/...

Re: OHSAA Basketball Postseason Will Return to Fairgrounds Coliseum
I really don’t enjoy watching games at the Fairgrounds. You’re low and far away from the action. I understand why they would go back, with its history and $10-15 parking, but unless a local is playing, I’ll probably avoid it. The Barn isn’t what it used to be. For the Central District, though, it’s...

Re: Carper done at Zanesville
What’s the common link between WCH, Chillicothe, and Zanesville being open in the same cycle? They’re all small exurbs bordered by at least one district with generally better footing for success to happen. Zanesville is without question the roughest of the three to make something happen. Agreed that...

Very astute parenthetical. They’re firmly top half of their division in that regard.loganlocos wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 9:11 am Amazing community support (compared to other OCC schools).

0-10, getting shutout eight times. Next coach is the third HC in as many years.

Re: Logan HC Out
Logan would only be attractive to a coach IF they got out of their league. Until then, they will never be successful in any sport, regardless of how good their athletes are. Logan Girls won the OCC championship plus the district in volleyball this fall plus several Conference awards for other fall ...

Re: Logan HC Out
It seems obvious to all when it comes to the mistake in joining the league they are in. And from what I understand, it would be difficult to get out now. So the question is whether the administration knows this or if they see this as a good gig. If they do, then their expectations are wrong going i...

Re: Week 14 Danville v (13-0) Beaver Eastern Regional Final
For Eastern’s purposes, the margin for error in this game will be very slim. Their path to winning this one will require two things: being opportunistic, and not getting behind the sticks regularly. Getting a score on the board early will be crucial. Falling behind two scores will not be easy to get...

Hell of a season for Miller. Historic year, first trip to the Round of 16.
The Falcons will lick their wounds, regroup and take all the right things away from this November. They’ve come far!

Re: HS Playoffs in WV Threatened By Litigation
I don’t know if you are saying Ohio doesn’t have a strength of schedule calculation or that we do but it isn’t complicated. Because the Harbin system most definitely rewards a strong SoS. Ours’ in Ohio isn’t complicated; whether or not the Harbin system rewards a strong SoS is a separate discussion...

Could such a snafu ever hit Ohio? No. Because the OHSAA (as a governing body) actually does have good operating principles when it comes to rules, regulations, and how changes get implemented. I'm speaking strictly as to the organization -- clear communication, well-executed plans, consistency of t...
