Re: Fairland @ Gallia Academy

The Devils out scored the dragons 38-24 in the second half and I believe held Howell scoreless. Great game. Great plays and kids from both teams stepped up. Fairland had numerous 3s from it seems like everyone and ultimately the game winner from way outside. I believe Wiseman Blouir Thomas and Loved...

Re: South Point @ Gallia Academy

South Point seems to be all over the place but when they are clicking they can play. GAHS does not do well guarding good slashing and good shooting guards. Take a look back. Both good Courthouse guards scored well Fox at South Point. And of course Fairlands guards. Somebody has to step up and stop s...

Re: Gallia Academy @ Coal Grove

Whether or not the head coach works on shooting with the team I don’t know but I do know he was great scorer and shooter and I’m sure he can handle it. Bad night all around they know it so throw the tape in the garbage and get ready for SouthPoint Good teams bounce back and have short memories. Go B...

Re: Gallia Academy @ Coal Grove

I agree this probably cost Gallipolis to drop in seeding which only time will tell on how that ends up. Every now and again it’s a better matchup That being said if the Blue Devils play like they did last night in the sectional they will be one and done. This is no cupcake sectional and anyone looki...

Re: Portsmouth at Gallia Academy

Complete game. I’m guessing four if not five guys in double figures. Everybody contributed. Good defense and nice transition basketball.

Re: Rock Hill vs Gallia Academy

That first half was just ugly. No way to sugar coat it. GAHS had the luxury to sub at will because the Redmen are a little weaker this year. They play hard and don’t seem to give up even after a tough year thus far. That being said I don’t get the selfish comment I didn’t see any kid just chuck it u...

Re: Gallia Academy vs Washington Court House 1/20/18

Lots of really good teams in Southeastern sectional. I know they haven’t won a bunch of games but I woukd watch out for Courthouse There guard play is incredibly strong and a few breaks go there way and they could pull a upset for sure

Re: Gallia Academy vs Washington Court House 1/20/18

I thought the subbing was pretty good. Blouir is getting better and better and with more playing time he will contribute more as well. Your just not going to play a lot of players against better teams. Thomas did his job while he was in there. Imo I just thought they jelled better with Blouir in the...

Re: Coal Grove vs Gallia Academy

Not a bad game after a few weeks layoff for the Blue. They do have to work on not turning the ball over especially when being pressed . That being said Loveday had a big game in my opinion wouldn’t be surprised if he had a triple double with points rebounds and blocks. Wiseman had a pretty nice game...

Re: River Valley vs Gallia Academy

You play who’s on the schedule. Two of those teams are league teams one is a rival Jackson which you should keep playing and one is a in county rival. Athens is struggling and Meigs has several hurt. No excuses but you play who is on the schedule that’s all you can do.

Re: Gallia Academy @ fairland 12/19

Idk how you can see any positives with the exception of Peckwho played fairly well and yes he sadly was put in way too late. 22 turnovers you can’t recover from and Fairland shot the lights out but you have to at least get a hand up. Wiseman caught fire a little in the third and then you pull him ma...

Re: Gallia Academy @ fairland 12/19

This will be a big test for the Devils and show what needs worked on. To me we must win the battle of 50/50 loose balls and can not turn the ball over We need to get a good quality shot each time down and have to rebound. The Blue is starting to believe and trust each other. Peck and Zach have to ha...

Re: Gallia Academy @ fairland 12/19

IMO for Gallipolis to win this game they have to first beat Fairland pressing and not have turnovers , they won’t be able to dribble through it and will have to make quick passes and move. They are going to have to put their bodies on their man and box out not just turn and go to the basket. That to...

Re: IRONTON VS GAHS

The Devils are playing well. They are going to have to move the ball quicker to break Fairlands pressing defense. They have played really good defense so far but will have to step it up and they must rebound. They have to believe we are going there to win not to keep it close. Will need a big game p...

Re: Jackson at Gallia Academy

Jackson controlled the tempo of that game the first half I don’t think we adjusted until the second half which turned out good but you won’t always be able to wait against better teams. Coal Grove will be very scrappy Ironton always physical Portsmouth always has athletes and play hard South Point h...

Re: Jackson at Gallia Academy

Very seldom do you blow a rival out. Jackson had a pretty good game plan moving the ball slowing it down a little but in the second half they got away from that a little then had to get away from it. Game was played pretty clean no real hard fouls a few flops here in there just like most games. At t...
