Re: Ironton 2025 Schedule, Wish List & Done Deals?
I just seen on the Ironton X page that Marion Local is looking for a week 1 game in 2025. Ironton response to Marion Local’s tweet was “Let’s Do It” everyone involved with these 2 schools need to make this happen. It would be awesome to watch Marion Local at the Tank. 68 straight wins in football, c...

Re: 2024 Division V, Region 19
Is Portsmouth West no longer in Division 5 region 19? I haven’t seen them as listed as being in this division and region. Did they jump back up to division IV region 16?

Lucasville? I wish, It easily they nicest facility on Scioto County. 5,000 seat stadium, nice consession stands on both sides, nice bathrooms on both sides. Also the amount of parking directly at the stadium is fantastic. Sadly Valley never hosts neutral site playoff games. I’ve always been told th...

Logan may be a possibility, but my guess is somewhere in Columbus.

Re: Ironton Gridiron Classic
Does anyone know why this isn’t a 2 day event this year? I seen a lot people on this forum talking about it becoming a 2 day event. The teams this year are not as strong as last years. DeMatha is a great pick up as is Martinsburg. But I feel like the teams were a lot more Nationally known last year....

Re: Wheelersburg vs. Portsmouth West…Round 3!
Man I wish this could be moved to Portsmouth. How cool would it be to watch these 2 teams duke it out again at the James A Rhodes Athletic Center at Shawnee State. I bet this game would have that place a near capacity if not sold out. I’ve always wondered why Shawnee State has never really hosted hi...

Re: Mark Elder steps down as Moeller High School head football coach after 3 seasons
It’s not as Land Locked as Cincinnati Elder and Elder has a top 10 High school stadium in the country. Moller has the money to buy land off campus and build a nice facility just like they’ve done with their athletic programs and their fields. Heck Moller literally just bulit their baseball a new sta...

Re: Mark Elder steps down as Moeller High School head football coach after 3 seasons
Moller is definitely a step up. But with all the $$$ they have why in the world doesn’t Moller have their own football stadium? Ironton probably doesn’t have much on Moller but Ironton definitely has a better gameday atmosphere. It would be odd playing 4 years of high school football and never playi...

Ironton needs to learn how to tackle. I’ve never seen a team try to arm tackle so much.

I look for MSML to tie this series up at 2 apiece, although I won’t be surprised if Kirtland takes a 3-1 series lead.

Re: Ironton Vs Valley View - Getting There
Ironton isn’t the only SEO school getting screwed by the drive to the state semifinals. Fort Frye has to go to Canfield to play Kirtland. This game should be held at Woody Hayes stadium in New Philadelphia. To Canfield: Kirtland 73 miles Fort Frye 148 miles To New Philadelphia: Kirtland 90 miles For...

I think this game should’ve been played in New Philadelphia at Woody Hayes stadium. That stadium also hosts big time playoff games. I remember when it hosted Joe Burrow and the Athens Bulldogs vs ASVSM. New Philadelphia is only 84 miles from Beverly & 90 miles from Kirkland. Instead the OHSAA sc...

Re: Ironton vs Valley View
Someone from Prep posted on another thread about Ironton kids sitting with their crowd and cheering against the Burg last year. It happens, doesn't make them bad kids. I remember going to watch Wheelersburg in the state semis in basketball and four guys in Portsmouth gear right behind us cheered aga...

Re: Kirtland vs Fort Frye
This will be a running clock in the 3rd quarter. Kirtland BIG. Maybe but maybe not. Most people on here said Cadets would get blown out in 2018 Vs Kirtland. They lost 35–18 but Cadets had the ball down 7 in the fourth. They played very well that night. I really hope I’m wrong. I followed the Cadets...
