Re: End of an Era at Valley.......
I heard over the weekend that this was a possibility. I hope he enjoys his time off because he sure does deserve it. No one has put in more hours over the course of the years as the figure head of a school's athletic programs. You did not go to a Valley sporting event without seeing Darren Crabtree ...

Re: WK 8 West at Valley
I hope I am able to make this game on Friday (wife's family coming in town  :D ) , because it could potentially be a very entertaining game. Knowing who is in and who is out for Valley will be a big key. And after watching West on Saturday, I think they have a few injuries too. Valley definite...

Re: WK7 Portsmouth West - Minford
Just a side note, but who ran the scoreboard for this game. A Valley or West staff member. No very professional. 3 simple buttons for down, ytg and ball on. Makes a nice stadium messy! Was at the game, and West ran things. But this is such an odd thing to say. I'm sure the board was new for whoever...

Re: Week 7 Valley (4-2) at Waverly (5-0)
They lost a linebacker/WR a few weeks ago, and I saw one of their linemen go down early vs. Oak Hill. They've played a handful of freshmen recently too. It looked like Valley had about 20-23 kids dressed last week and maybe played 14-15 of them until the game was in control. Only playing 14-15 kids...

Re: WK 6 Valley vs. Oak Hill
Valley has really played well the last few weeks. They seem like a more confident group and as long as they stay healthy they'll compete. I think they are a clear favorite in this game but Coach Carver always has a physical team. If Valley doesn't turn the ball over, I don't see Oak Hill being able ...

Re: NW vs Valley Round 2
A few things have been debated on this thread but after watching both games, a few things are clear to me… NW’s injuries are a factor and Valley is a much improved team. I think Valley’s staff has done a terrific job. Valley struggled early in the year on offense but they have looked really good sin...

Re: Piketon 62 Valley 36 2021
Piketon’s offense is for real. They don’t have anyone on that schedule that will stop that. But Valley had no issue moving the ball. They had 2 turnovers right before half but Piketon didn’t stop them otherwise. That won’t be a problem with that offense or who is left on the schedule but Valley push...

Re: Week 3 (9/3) Piketon (2-0) @ Valley (1-1)
I would think that Piketon will win this game but if Valley is healthy enough they will compete. In other words, a Piketon win wouldn't surprise me but a Piketon blowout would. Valley seemed to find some things on offense last week and in my opinion it started up front. Nickel finished the year stro...

Re: Wow, Eastern with its 4th opponent this week (Eastern v Coal Grove)
I had this explained to me by a Valley coach on Friday... Both Valley and Coal Grove were still open to play on Thursday. Valley had to cancel with Greenup and were in contact with Eastern to play on Friday. Eastern then said they had been contacted by Coal Grove to play. Once that happened Coal Gro...

Re: WK2 Valley v Northwest... Right?
Mental block for NW when it comes to Valley. I'll take Valley in the re-match. It's a mental thing for NW against Valley at this point. Plus, Crabtree (valley's coach) will have more than one day of preparation. Coaching won it this past week and I believe will do so again. Maybe but if northwest d...

They have a two way starter who got hurt last night and is out for the year. Saw on Facebook that he broke his collarbone.

Re: WK2 Valley v Northwest... Right?
That was a hard fought win for Valley. It will be a miracle if they make it through the meat of their schedule uninjured. They lost a player or two last night and I heard NW did as well. Valley showed a ton of grit and determination by not quitting and finding a way to win.

Re: WK2 Coal Grove @ Valley
If I'm not mistaken, this is the first time the big TE has played the position. He's always been a tackle. The wide receivers are new to the position from what I have been told too. And I did not see much blitzing from Portsmouth, it looked like mostly man coverage and the pressure came from the 4 d...

Re: 2021 VALLEY INDIANS FOOTBALL
I saw a team play their guts out until their depth and health took its toll. There's winnable games left on Valley's schedule but they are treading on thin ice if the injury bug hits. I think they played 13-14 kids last night, maybe a few others for a snap or two. That's tough against bigger (number...

Re: 2021 VALLEY INDIANS FOOTBALL
Like many have said on here, Valley's health will go a long way towards determining their success. They don't have much depth from what I have seen/heard. Portsmouth - Valley (Portsmouth probably a slight favorite) Valley - Coal Grove (Pick'em) Valley - Piketon (Piketon is possibly the favorite if t...

Re: Week 1 - Valley @ Portsmouth 8/19
Arnett is lean, but he's played nearly every down on both sides of the ball since he was a freshman. He's bigger and stronger now than he was then. This Valley team won 3 of 4 to end the season while playing multiple freshmen and sophomores in the backfield. Crab's Brother already said the line will...

Re: Valley vs Paint Valley - Regional Semi-Final 6/3 @ 2pm
I went looking through the SVC league matchups and feel the comparison to the SOC is pretty close. Both have a non-competitive squad (SE and Eastern) but they also have teams in the bottom half capable of beating the top teams (SW over Minford, ZT over Unioto). There were also some good non-league m...

Re: 2020 Valley 15 - 14 Minford
Is there a possibility outside of Lewis and Risner that Daniels had better players? I mean just as recent as last year Minford pushed Burg to the limit and played well against them again this year.

Re: WK4 Portsmouth West - Valley
Valley and West have each had a rough couple of weeks. I do not believe the scores of their games last week are an indication of how either team played. I saw the Valley game and was following along with updates from West and Minford. Both scores ended up looking like the winners were in total contr...

Re: Coaching Vacancies 2020-2021
This is a great hire for Valley. I know there has been a lot of smoke on here about this position, but this is a perfect hire to pair with Valley's young talent.
