Any teams eliminated from the playoffs planning to keep playing?
They’re able to play as many as 10 total regular season games as long as they’re done by November 14th, correct?

Re: 2020 Playoffs Minford v Piketon
Hard to know where Minford is at mentally anymore. It would be good to stop the L skid though.

Re: 2020 Valley 15 - 14 Minford
Well said. I edited a bit there, but you get the point. Greygoose: When you've seen these kids play to a much higher level, it's frustrating to watch. You do realize that the high school kids are “Daniels program” right?? This team is part of the inner league program. Also the same Burg team that w...

Absolutely, needs to get wrapped up soon so the new coach can get things rolling.Bleeding Red wrote:Where are they at in the process? One would think they would be wanting to get this signed, sealed and delivered in a short amount of time.

Are there things that could/should be done better? Yes.
But good grief folks, it's a wonder Minford can keep a decent coach with how some fans act...

Re: Did Ironton Close Down Their Weight Program
Far removed from the discussion, but is there any chance the weight room situation may have been caused by contract or liability issues? Say the coach's supplemental contract does not call for weight room duties (no pay for the extra time) or a requirement a trainer be on duty in the weight room at...

What about doing it as a club sport first to see how it goes?

Re: Minford Football
Jesse Ruby should be first on the list IMO. He's been an assistant the whole time Daniels has been head coach. He knows what it has taken to get the program where it is at now, and I think he has the ability to tweak a few things here and there and take the next step forward. Just as important and m...

Re: Off-Season Coaching Changes
The spread option or some version of it is what needs brought in and don't say we never had the players to run it, we had numerous players with speed that were never used in the right way. I'm not gonna get into a urinating match with you, but if you think Minford has been stacked at the skill posi...

High quality grass is still my preference. But maintaining quality grass over a season is very difficult.

Re: MINFORD FALCONS 2013
I like the schedule. Decent non-conference, and more importantly, wheelersburg and valley at home. Those two home games could be big + for Minford. My Falcons have a good mix of experience coming back for 2013. If they put the work in, and do what Coach Daniels and his staff tell them, they will hav...

Re: Lucasville Valley @ Minford
Just can't miss that many shots down the stretch and beat good teams. Valley is a good team and will get better as the year goes on.
Minford just needs to learn and get better, don't hit the panic button there's plenty of basketball left to play.

Re: Tank stadium
Everyone's loving this Field Turf, but come talk to me when it's time to replace that stuff and your are trying to scrape together another 400K to 750K, 10-12 years down the road. Good point PolPot, I know Jackson will soon be fighting that battle, their turf put down in 2004 was only projected to ...

Re: How will your school vote this time?
It's laughable to think that having the games in Columbus will boost attendance. It will not. I know of at least one. I will gladly drive to Columbus both days. Canton? No I will go to game in Columbus regardless who is playing. I will not drive to Canton for a game. I know there are many fans that...

Re: How will your school vote this time?
I found the numbers for this year.
The six-game, two-day attendance at the OHSAA 2012 football state championships was 43,911, down 4,784 from 2011.

Re: How will your school vote this time?
It could be argued the OHSAA would make more money without the private schools. Especially when the games are at The Shoe in a couple years.
Did anyone watch the state championships on TV this year? Stadiums about 75% full, at best, it looked like to me. Have those numbers been released yet?

Wins against Valley will be harder to come by after Christmas. To win the SOC you have to win your conference home games.
Falcons need to take care of business in this game and get another W.
