Re: Warren vs. Miami Trace Prediction Thread

Warren doesn’t have anyone as big as Guthrie and Miami Trace doesn’t have anyone as skilled/dynamic as Stadleman. I’d have to give Warren the advantage in this matchup. Warren’s contributors have been there/done that….one win from making the Final Four last year. Guthrie will get his but Stadleman w...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #9

I could see Warren either running table the rest of the regular season or losing to Fairfield Union or Bloom-Carroll. A late season loss sometimes helps….just something to think about.

Re: Monroe Central 24-25

I recently watched Monroe Central play and I must say, I’m impressed. C Allen and T Howell are both phenomenal. Extremely fun players to watch. They are 7-8 deep as well with not too much talent drop off. Very well coached and extremely good defensively. I’ll be keeping tabs on the Seminoles.

Re: Warren Clash at the Coliseum Dec 20-21

Surprising the Warriors won in a landslide. I figured it would have been a little closer considering Williamstown has a couple of outside snipers. I think it proves that schedule/league does matter. Plus, Warren is a physical ballclub. Something that Williamstown basketball isn’t use to…they oughta ...

Re: Marietta Scores 112!!!

Regardless of the opponent, I’m sure it’s a confidence booster for Marietta. I do believe the sky is the limit for Marietta this year. They have the most “basketball” players that’s I’ve seen this year, including Parkersburg South HS. I look for big things out of the Tigers. Congrats on the Jones ki...

Re: Marietta 62, Warren 56

I was impressed with Marietta. They seemed like they rotated players in and out of the game and didn’t skip a beat. They have four guards can really play ball. The big boy, Bass, finishes well. The thing I noticed that could potentially hurt Marietta throughout the season is foul trouble….Wittekind ...

Re: Week 13 : #4 (9-2) Harvest Prep vs #1 (11-1) Ironton

Not surprised they acted like that. When I lived in Canal Winchester years ago, Harvest Prep had a reputation of having really good athletes with an extremely undisciplined culture. I’ve always questioned if they just continually hire coaches that have a lot of the same issues as the kids…..discipli...

Re: D-II Convo Final - New Lex vs. Warren

It was a tremendous game to watch. New Lexington’s coach was impressive….the Panthers have a bright future. I was impressed with their guard play and #0 played very physical. Warren’s Big Two (Stadleman & Taylor) and a few timely buckets by their role players proved the difference. Good win for ...

Re: D-II Convo Final - New Lex vs. Warren

I believe it’s Warren’s game to lose. However, composure is going to be key in this game. Stadleman might be challenged from a physical standpoint from the way New Lexington plays. If I were Stadleman, I’d make sure to show people that he can handle the physicality (mentally and physically).

Re: 3/4 Marietta v New Lexington

Strength of schedule matters a great deal the further a team advances in the tournament. It also matters what kind of teams you face throughout the year….athletic, methodical, physical, skilled, fast-paced, etc. It helps the coaches prepare for the “real season.” Also, it gives the kids quality expe...

Re: 3/4 Marietta v New Lexington

From a Washington County basketball fan’s perspective, I truly believe both Warren and Marietta did what they could to prepare for the tournament. During the regular season each team had its weak opponents and tough opponents. I did notice something though, I felt like Marietta wasn’t as sharp towar...

It sounds like Warren really put it to Logan Elm. Warren is really peaking at the right time. It should be a good game this Saturday @ 2:00 @ The Convo.

Re: 3/4 Warren v Logan Elm or Unioto

I’m taking Warren by 15. If Warren plays like they have been playing lately then they will be a tough team to beat. Junior PG Julian Stadleman is a stud that pumps in nearly 20 ppg. Senior C Trent Taylor is a 1000 point scorer and is playing inspired basketball. Then you have one or two other kids t...

Re: 3/4 Marietta v New Lexington

I’m going with Marietta in this one. It’s difficult for me to imagine that New Lexington matches up well with Marietta. The Tigers are just so athletic with ZWittekind, Kelley, and Knighten. Then you gotta deal with the front runner to win the D2 SE District POY, Alex Kendall. If you get Kendall at ...

Re: OHSAA Hopes To Return To The Fairgrounds Coliseum for State Basketball Tournament In 2025

I hope they are talking about just the central district tournament (district and regional). It’s clearly not an appropriate place to watch a Final Four game in this day and age. Move it to The Schott, St John, Xavier, Cincy, Wright State, Cleveland St, Akron, or Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.

I’d like to see Warren in the TVC. I think it would be good for Vinton County. Not sure of the truth but I’ve heard Vinton has voted against Warren from re-joining the TVC in the past. If it’s true, why?

Re: Warren 57 Marietta 53 a final

I’m hoping theres a round three as well. I’m glad both teams split in the regular season. As the old adage goes, it’s hard to beat a team three times in the same season. I’m looking for Warren’s Trent Taylor to keep playing inspired ball. Warren needs him to be an aggressive offensive threat. Mariet...

Re: Twin State League Boys Hoops

Stadleman is a top 3 player. Kendall had a subpar game tonight but I’d say he’s still at the top….6’8” and signed with a top level NCAA D2 program. Stadleman isn’t a D2 caliber player. If he’s wishing to be, he has a lot of work to do in many areas, including getting stronger and better decision mak...
