Re: Head coaching vacancies
who got meigs job? who got eastern job? Meigs new coach is Hudson This is what you call the perfect “Meigs Trifecta” 1. A rehash hire of a varsity coach they hired once before and was not successful. 2. He coached his daughter during that first tenure. 3. His sister is on the school board. (Ran For...

Re: Next Meigs Football Coach
Just wondering if a teacher or school employee applies for the job, if they have to be given the job. Meigs passed over a qualified teacher for softball coach a few years ago and hired someone not employed with the district. The teacher filed a grievance and Meigs had to pay two varsity coaching sa...

Re: Next Meigs Football Coach
Now would be a good time to Coach Meigs. If you would go above .500 every year it would be an accomplishment.

Re: Meigs Head Baseball Coach Search
Brent Bissell will be a hard act to follow. Of the three major sports, baseball has had the most success with Bissell at the helm. Brent has won league championships and made deep runs in the tournament, which the basketball and football teams have not done at Meigs

Re: 2018/19 TVC-Ohio (Predictions, POY Talk, Scheules & More)
From what I have heard, Meigs is the TVC champs. They have the player of the year in Baer (unless he shares it with Bartrum) and the “best freshmen class” in the history of the school. They ran off the coach with the best winning percentage in school history to get a better coach to lead them to new...

Re: Who will replace Ed Fry at Meigs?
Parents know best If the parent was good little Johnny is probably pretty good too Gallia County has shown that time and again I think a big first step would be for the new coach to call all the parents in and get some insight on what offense and defense they should be running Hill already said in ...

Re: Future Division I Quarterbacks in SE Ohio
So we should expect Meigs to win the TVC and make the playoffs if he is that good.Trump2020 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 12:44 amI agree but, watch Coulter....he may be down the road.thebarlowbandit wrote: ↑Sun Oct 21, 2018 5:36 pm Currently there are zero DI QB’s in the SE District.

Re: Nelsonville-York 30 Meigs 22
Reading these posts, it sounds like some of those freshman on Meigs team likes to talk. Great flip of freshman, but still freshman. Not sure why Meigs hasn’t done better, especially with a super bowl winning coach running the show. He did not win the Super Bowl. God favored the Patriots over his Ea...

Re: 0-3 Meigs @ 1-2 Vinton County
A loss to Vinson this week would be the lowest point of the Bartrum era. But, Meigs always beats teams they should beat, but seldom beat teams with equal or greater talent. So, they will beat Vinton despite their Swiss cheese defense.

Re: Who will replace Ed Fry at Meigs?
I don’t know who to feel sorry for in this scenario. Coach Hill who is coming to Meigs for a “do over” for his coaching career as he mentioned in the paper. A school where most coaches don’t last four years. Or. Meigs whose so-called athletic supporters ran off a coach who actually won there and av...

Re: Who will replace Ed Fry at Meigs?
Here’s the thing about Meigs, and I’ve noticed this for many years going back to the early 2000s. Meigs has had the talent, they have had the depth (most of the time), and one can argue that they have had decent but no superb coaching. However, witness firsthand, a lot of it is the individualism th...

Re: Who will replace Ed Fry at Meigs?
If it is Jeremy Hill then he must have done some math. If the average tenure of a Meigs Head Coach is 3.4 years as somebody posted, then he must have figured he had less years than at Eastern. No other reason to come to Meigs. Lots of reasons but mainly because of Talent in the 10th and 8th grades ...
