Burg can win this one.

Re: Wheelersburg 28 Ironton 6
Great win last night for the Burg. A few things to work out before next week, but I'm sure they'll be fine and play a great game up in Columbus. Ironton impressed me. The scoreboard didn't show it, but it is obvious they are in the weight room, conditioning is better, tackling and overall team play ...

Re: Wheelersburg vs harvest prep
LOL, Are you serious ??? I have been raised in the Burg and have played sports here in the Burg, one thing I appreciate more than anything is how blessed we are over the years to have Great coaches that have high Integrity and they not only know how to coach , they invest in our kids about life les...

Re: Wheelersburg vs harvest prep
Patriot Ridge is a fairly recent development. It was built knowing that kids could go to Wheelersburg because it adjoins Green School District. It is populated by several families who used to live inside the Wheelersburg School District. It would have not been proposed as a housing development if O...

Re: Wheelersburg vs harvest prep
Well I heard someone on here say once..... The first step is admitting your fault. Burg hater. Hopefully enough of you can get a group together and meet monthly and leave our families, kids who play and just the freakin' phrase "The Burg" alone. I think you'll feel better inside. Keep us u...

Re: Wheelersburg vs harvest prep
Imagine with the new schools how much property taxes are on those half a million dollar homes are up on the hill and Patriot Ridge. Then their kids and grandkids don't play on the basketball team or Friday nights while kids from New Boston, Webster, Minford, East, and Green do. I'm willing to bet m...

Everyone must have a problem then Prime Time. And the "AA" reference used by Urban? Classy. Very classy. Especially to those who have/have had that issue.

Re: Wheelersburg vs harvest prep
Some of the things posted on here.... I've been on this forum for years, and I know now why I have posted so little. This might be one of the most absurd posts I have ever read. I am fairly certain that most of the posters on this topic are adults. ADULTS. Bashing high school kids sports teams. And ...

Re: Wheelersburg vs harvest prep
I wish everyone on here would remember that these KIDS from Wheelersburg are 15-18. They are just high school students and probably most of the posters on here have to be ADULTS. With open enrollment, kids/families have the right to go where ever they choose. Remember Ironton playing North College H...

Re: Eastern Pike vs Oak Hill 3/10 @ 8:00
Burgpirater does not represent the majority of Burg fans. Yes, maybe the kid was a bench player who never gets a shot ever and decides to launch one at the end. You and I know as fans/ex players that it wasn't a classy thing to do. Hopefully Coach Ater from Wheelersburg will speak to this young man ...

VisionQuest- Sometimes we say and do things we regret later. That does not make you a bad person. We ALL make mistakes and we are all just talking ball on here. I had to realize a long time ago after seeing a counselor that good people do bad things all the time; that does not make them bad people. ...

Not sure which school you mean but in my statement I meant there are transfers at schools in Adams County. hahaha! Nobody wants to transfer to Adams county. Not enough money in our quiet little county.Seriously, I don't care who or what school takes in transfers. Its happened forever, I'm just saying...

Great win Burg! Keep it rolling!
Very impressed with McGlaughlin as well. Could anyone tell me if and where he will be going on to play in college? He definitely can play somewhere!

NO ONE should doubt the loyalty of trojandave. He is without a doubt the most loyal fan I have ever met to a program (PHS basketball) at least that I know of south of Columbus. And he is 100% correct when it comes to HS basketball in the SE district. There's Portsmouth, then there is everyone else.

Re: PAINT VALLEY VS OAK HILL
Not every school has a football/basketball/baseball pedigree that they can lean on from years past. For some schools, every decent win, regardless of the seeding, might be a huge win to that community and it's kids and fans. It's ok for ADULTS to get on here and criticize the actions of KIDS (i.e. s...

Agreed Dani. But both players were a little rough on that play. He probably did deserve it, but when you get beat on game in and game out as he does, I'm really surprised he can keep his composure as well as he does.

You can count on one hand the # of times he has fouled out in 4 years. 3 fouls=foul trouble? Lol. As Ironman92 said, he is one of the best at avoiding foul trouble. Terrific body control for a 6'11" player. And last night was only his second "T" in 4 years. Anyone who saw it could tel...
