I’m curious to see the stat line from last night. Feel like Trimble dominated most of the game and wonder if that shows in the stats (except points obviously).

Couldn’t agree more. REGIONAL final would have certainly been FF and Trimble. Both teams played state final 4 matchups last night essentially. Just absurd, I’m sure both had chances to win it’s just the fact the state botched this whole scenario entirely.

Good analysis and couldn’t agree more, shame to see it end that way, and truly believed Cats were the better team just few things went against them and missed their opportunities- while Springfield didn’t.

Then you didn’t see the play or hear the rationale from the officials. Regardless, Trimble had their chances and didn’t capitalize. They usually (almost always) win the close ones, but Springfield played a balanced game and made plays when needed. That’s about all that can be said.

It wasn’t a “hold” or a “blindside” or any other judgment call. It was an ignore the offsides and determine it was a illegal snap or formation- neither of which was true. I understand that but those calls last week were judgment calls. This wasn’t a judgment call, this was a misinterpretation of rules which makes it worse. It looked like with 23 seconds and no timeouts on 3rd down it was call 2 plays and go for it, or kick on 3rd.. they chose the 1 option.

Never one to complain about judgment calls. But when points are taken off the board and calls overturned on no basis, that’s a different story. It’s sad that’s the thing that’ll forever stick out when thinking of this playoff season.

2 point conversion should have counted. Absolutely no reason it didn’t. Will be the most talked about play and makes it even worse that’s there’s no explanation. It’s called MUDDLE HUDDLE, and it was ran to perfection, and legal.

Springfield is very disciplined and I think Trimble has to take care of the ball and win the turnover margin. Be surprised if the cats win the turnover battle and lose the game.
