Re: Western vs East District Final
Congratulations to the 2 SOC 1 teams from a clay panther fan. Only wish we were playing Saturday too. May the best one win and good luck to both your teams. Really thought ya had it. Gonna be exciting year for the Panthers as they bring everyone back. Tough bunch of kids at Clay! Definitely a tough...

Re: Trimble 68 Portsmouth Clay 65 OT final
Thank you for the nice comments. Should you choose to come to one of our home games, let me know ahead of time and we will see you have a ticket at the door. We have a newer facility and nice gymnasium. Thanks again and hope to see you next season at one of our games.

Re: Trimble 68 Portsmouth Clay 65 OT final
We have a couple freshman this year that could help next year if they put the time in this summer. A sophomore post 6'4" that needs to work hard this summer to add depth. I believe the teams lack of depth hurt this year. I believe our top 5 can be as good as anyone, but we need to work on that ...

Re: Trimble 68 Portsmouth Clay 65 OT final
Thanks for your input. Was an exciting game and one that we believe the panthers let slip away. Felt like Clay controlled the game after the first quarter, only to see the tomcats storm back the last 5-6 minutes. Hope the panthers work hard this summer and return next year.

Re: Trimble (19-3) vs Clay (17-5) - DIV district semi-final
Proud of the game our panthers played tonight. The kids played very hard, knew we could win. Just could not finish after getting the 10 point lead in the 4th. Lack of depth has been factor for the team. In any event , felt like it was a game we let slip away. Tough loss. Look forward now to next yea...

Re: Belpre (12-11) vs East (19-4) - DIV district semi-final
Talent wise, Belpre has as much as the other teams in the DIV district tournament ... and I'll just leave it at that. I think most of the teams and their posters feel they have the talent to beat any of the teams in this district , to include both brackets. I believe it will come down to the teams ...

Re: Belpre (12-11) vs East (19-4) - DIV district semi-final
Brown get some scoring help from other guards should help propel them to a win. Hope they have better showing on the big floor. Believe this an the other 3 district games will be competitive. 3 point shooting could be a factor. Brown get to the rim and create , then opens up uncontested 3 for other ...

Eastern play with intensity on offense and defense like the sectional final they should be in good shape. As with other 3 games rooting for the SOC 1.

Re: South Gallia (18-5) vs Western (12-12) district semi-final
IMO, comparing scores has been useless this year. But i know it is the only way if you have not seen the 2 teams ,to make a comparison. I just would not rely on that to much. Again, makes for discussion. Would like to see the Indians pull this one out.

Re: Trimble (19-3) vs Clay (17-5) - DIV district semi-final
4 of Clay's starters played on the big floor, bright lite and big stage last year in the district. Do not see that being a problem. Break the press a couple times and score easy baskets would be a great start to the game. The clay kids are in good shape as several games at least 3 never came out of ...

Re: Trimble (19-3) vs Clay (17-5) - DIV district semi-final
Just about everyone picked Peebles to win by 5-15 points. The team responded and played well in that game with a 13 point win. Expect another tough game and most picking the Panthers to be underdog again. I can not give an exact point prediction, never seen Trimble play. Sure some on here have not s...

Re: Peebles vs Clay Sectional Championship
We need King, Hinze, Gilliland, Riffe and Williams to each go for 10-20. Not saying King at 30 would not be good, but a balanced attack would be better. Will come down to the shots falling. I believe Clay struggled against man to man because of a lack of screens. I would have made sure a couple def...

Re: D-IV Northwest Sectional Finals
Thought the Clay team played well tonight. We saw good defense, rebounding and balanced scoring. I was one of a few that knew they were capable of winning. Not bad for all those juniors, not one senior dressed. Lower seed as I stated.
