Re: Waverly has left the building!
I would assume the msl buckeye would be interested in replacing Teays Valley if possible with the right school. Hamilton TWP. Is not leaving. Down the road, both HT and Bloom Carroll will likely outgrow the MSL (like TV and Canal Winchester did), but the remaining seven schools seem very committed t...

Re: Logan, Teays Valley invited to join OCC
I think Harvest Prep hasn't come up much because the focus has been on the Buckeye Division. I don't think anyone overlooks the football program they have built there. That said, HP isn't a good candidate for the Buckeye Division. I have no idea how they've been the past few years, but other sports ...

Re: Logan, Teays Valley invited to join OCC
I'm also surprised Pick. Central is fine with the upcoming configuration. Other than Reynoldsburg, Lancaster (sometimes), and maybe Canal in the near future, this seems like a lot of blowouts for them.

Re: Logan, Teays Valley invited to join OCC
Zunardo, Thanks for your input! I have always liked HT in the league. They "fit" in a weird way I guess, even though they are "big town adjacent" :) And I really didn't mean to demean HT's athletic programs (believe me, look at A-C's history in boys basketball and baseball, it is...

Re: Logan, Teays Valley invited to join OCC
1. Hamilton should work on consistently competing where they are, in my opinion. They have been mostly a middle-bottom of the pack in most sports for 30 years. No knock on them, just reality. If City League and/or Southwest City Schools became available for a league, that might be different. 2. Actu...

Re: Logan, Teays Valley invited to join OCC
I would be a bit surprised if HT left for the OCC (or were even offered). Of course, I'm surprised Logan was offered a spot, so what do I know? They would be significantly smaller than any other OCC school (granted, TV and Logan are smaller than the other OCC schools also, but still outnumber HT in ...

Re: Logan, Teays Valley invited to join OCC
This is a no-brainer acceptance by Logan. No matter where they are placed division-wise, I think there will be a struggle in the beginning based on where Logan is right now (football particularly), but hope they can improve through more stability in the OCC. It is a bit surprising (to me at least) t...

Re: Thoughts for expanded SVC
As an alum of Amanda-Clearcreek, I have LONG been an advocate of Westfall to the MSL-Buckeye should Teays Valley leave (I actually would have preferred them to Liberty Union when Canal Winchester left years ago). They play two schools in every sport every year already (Logan Elm, Circleville) and pl...

Re: 0-3 Logan Elm @ 3-0 Amanda Clearcreek
The Aces seem the clear choice here, though I'm not sure how good they are yet. They have so far defeated perennially bad Lakewood and East (Columbus) in blowouts and pulled away from a down Liberty Union in the fourth quarter after being tied at the end of the third quarter. This is an intense riva...

Re: Past Southeastern Ohio Champions
I posted this on the old version of the board and dug it up to re-post here. State finalists from Southeastern Ohio I defined Southeast Ohio by the following boundaries: Schools east of Route 23 and south of I-70, while also adding in teams assigned to the Southeast District that are west of 23 (suc...

Re: Logan applies to the Licking County League
Thought I would post here since Logan to the MSL has been discussed in this thread. I have heard from a source I know at a MSL school that the following changes are occurring to the league: MSL-Buckeye: No change other than Liberty Union will begin (I think in 2017) playing Football only in the MSL-...

Re: Logan applies to the Licking County League
Agree that Logan fits better in many ways in the MSL than the LCL, but no one that I have seen has addressed a key question I had : do schools with <250 boys want to add another school with over 400? More importantly a school with a track record of winning consistently (unlike TV and HT). And some h...
