Eric Weber hit 120'3" at the Meigs Relays this evening, season best to date. Still looking to better that distance in the next few weeks.

It has been cold and miserable and a very long meet with big and small school divisions. Good money maker for Nelsonville but taking forever for events to finish.

I am trying to keep a high school and junior high schedule straight so I know where to go. LOL!

Okay, I was looking at the wrong date and that is why I thought it was at Meigs. LOL!

The schedule that River Valley has shows the league meet is at Meigs High school not Nelsonville. Wondering where it is going to be.

Eric's uncle coaches him when his grandfather isn't. His uncle is the throwing coach at the University of Rio Grande. So no problem learning any of the events wrong.............Rio has some exceptional throwers in all events..........especially hammer..........and Eric thrives on hard work.............

Did you throw hammer in college? E. Weber is learning from his uncle who is the throwing coach at Rio Grande. He was hoping to find a meet or two but his coach said maybe next year since this year's schedule is pretty much set.

Nicely ran tournament. We saw some good wrestling today from three states.

We knew about the state meet but also know that you have to have a mark to qualify. Trying to find if there were any meets. I knew that no high school would have a throwing circle so knew they would have to be hosted at a University. Doubtful that our school will be able to get into a meet this year...

Are there any meets in southern Ohio that has Hammer Throw? I know that there is an invitational at Morgan that has it. Just wondering if there is any other schools that offer it.

That will be no problem, he has two of the best throwing coaches in Southeastern Ohio. His grandfather,who coached his uncle to three Ohio High School state championships and his uncle who is the throws coach at the University of Rio Grande.

Eric threw 121' in discus last summer at a meet. (using the high school discus not junior high discus)
