Re: Any weather related issues affecting games "being played or moved to Saturday" ?
I heard through the grapevine that Eastern (Pike) and Sciotoville have been moved to Saturday 2:00pm, not confirmed though.

OHSAA indicated that schools who are eligible for a home game who do not have lights will play @ 1:00 pm Saturday I believe.

Re: College Scholarships Explain Please?
If a head coach who signed the player leave, I believe the NCAA has allowed the signee to re-start the process. There are a bundle of moving pieces involved with the letter of intent, both on the player's end and that of the school.

Re: New OHSAA Logo Revealed
New hats for baseball, softball, & football officials, new shirts for baseball, softball, basketball & football, jackets, etc., and with the OHSAA losing officials, looks like this is paving the way for more to leave instead of paying for new clothing. I looked at Honig's, Purchase Officials...

OR it could be the OHSAA is giving the nod to college officials who are able to work Friday nights but not Saturday's...just food for thought.

Re: What is the Correct Call?
Question for anyone with football license - player returns to the field of play after being pushed out legally, while in the air during the return, he catches a ball. Is this a complete or incomplete pass? Does the rule indicate a player has to establish himself on the field of play before participa...

fbnut - illegal equipment could be jewelry, the "live-strong" bands, knots hanging out of a helmet from a bandanna of some sort. It is my understanding that the officials are to ask each HC prior to the game about being legally equipped, then should a player come out wearing something that...

Proud, agreed.
I was only stating that I would not feel sorry for the player, didn't mean to indicate that you did. No worries!

LOL - "hate to see a player miss a big game due to a momentary lapse in judgement". I have no idea what may have transpired that led to the possibility of a young man being ejected, but I am most curious what you would see fit as punishment for a "momentary lapse in judgement"? I...

If the player being hit for enters the game the original DH cannot come into another spot in the lineup, in fact, the only way they can return to the game is to re-enter Isn't he same spot in which case they both cannot play defense at the same time... Please tell me that this wasn't allowed in a re...

ACQB - I don't think I have ever watched a finals game officiated by any of the stripes who worked either of the semi's. The boards (OHSAA & SEODAB) seem to do a decent job of keeping this from happening.

Truth & fiction, from what I was told, the injury Cole Cottrill suffered was early in the first quarter. If that is the case, I doubt the crew would have had the opportunity to let anything get out of hand or get physical.

I think the biggest issues would be cost and storage. Cost to purchase mats, storage for them when not in use.

Re: Hocking College- first 2 year college in OH to play foot
Interesting, it could possibly boost enrollment. I hope is it not one term and done relative to grades for many of the young men. If they are working out players who were non-qualifiers the risk is even higher. I am left to wonder about the other pieces of having sports teams: Laundry facilities for...

Re: Where are the quality umpires?
Sounds like an issue to be brought up with a league assigner if there is one, or the AD. I agree with the working to get into position. Everyone makes mistakes/bad calls, but to not be in proper position when making the call is simply being lazy. Most coaches I know may complain a little about what ...

Interesting how a different point of view may make a difference in how the play is viewed:
