Re: Ironton Head Coach Opening
As for myself I would love to see those guys come back to Ironton. They would restore the things that the program is missing, Discipline and fundamentals. Those are the little things that have not been taught that develope into big things that causes a team to be vulnerable. I think thses guys would ...

Waverly is close enough to Columbus to entice a good coach to come there.burgpirater wrote: Fri Mar 14, 2025 8:36 am def a good job if they all stay...... im hearing one very important one is as good as gone tho so we shall see

Re: Chesapeake 83 Ironton 76 OT final ... (Napkin Stats)
75 free throw attempts is just what you want for a quick Monday night game before the tournament lol Every home Ironton basketball game is like that. Zero flow, whistles on almost every trip up and down the floor. You always have a McKnight PA announcing, coaching and reffing in their home games. a...

2 min left a 7-9 point lead and this tiger team was shooting 3’s. You really have to just dribble it out and make them foul at that point. Until there is a shot clock in HS use it to your advantage. That loss is 10000000% on Barnes. Gotta give those boys better instruction. My exact feeling on this...

Re: Ironton Hall of Fame
I dont think the HOF commiittee makes it a priority. Very little time and energy is put into it. There are many that have not been mentioned for the HOF., Jimmy Morris, Heath Brownstead great running back. Gabe Lewis. All great football players for Ironton to just mention a few. As far as basketbal...

Re: Chesapeake Head Coaching Search
With the BOE electing not to renew the current coaching staff, where do the Panthers turn now? What are the football teams numbers like? What's a typical class participation number? Do they have enough athletes and football minds kids to be good? I'm curious to know if this is a good job that was n...

Id say more than likely those guys up for Mr Football are probably in Division-1 while Im sure these guys are looking at D-1 colleges. What are you even talking about ? Your constant rambling about how Ironton outworks everyone. How they are conditioned like no others. How superior their coaching is to anyone else in the state. You act as if other programs are just chumps. And these will be the same people that will be finger.Poin...

What has happened to that honor. A lot of x athletes from Ironton should be on there. To many young ones on there at first.Should have been the older ones first.

I heard that the shockers team from several years ago, coached by Kyle Copley, has more than a few kids get their 1000 point this year i don’t know the particulars of who that would be, but wondering if it’s true? Jace Copley (last season) Connor Lintz, Tanner Bolin, Brayden Schreck, Devon Lattimor...

Chesapeake should roll. I can’t figure out Ironton they should be so much better than what they are with all the size and athleticism that they have but they just can’t put it together. Rock Hill dominated that whole game and if they weren’t so young and inexperienced and knew how to win at the end...

Ironton 67 South Point 66 Credit to the Tigers for taking it, but South Point gave that one away in the final minute. Up 5 and fouled Terry on a 4 point play, gave up a rebound on final possession. Shawn Terry was the man in that game. Hell of a player. Without him Ironton doesnt pack much. The Tha...
