Re: Warren Coaching Job

If I recall. Recent coaching historywas: Riffey 3 years DeVol 7 years Welsh 1 year Grider 1 year Santini 3 years Pifer 3 years Schob 4 years Fish 2 years Carver 2 years Day 1 year Kimes 3 years Peyton 3 years. Almost 30 years of short term head coaches. You forgot Jon Bolen 1 year before Pifer. Lef...

Re: Warren Coaching Job

Mike Kupfner, Parkersburg HS defensive coordinator, is a name that could apply. He applied in 2019 in the same cycle as Kimes and was close to getting the job. Would not be surprised to see his name at all. Would be hard to find anyone better. Done a great job at PHS. Kids and parents respect him a...

Re: Warren Coaching Job

I can't imagine transferring out because of a coaching decision when I played. But I guess when you're a third generation warrior, blue is in your blood. None of the kids on this team are playing D1 ball no matter how good their parents think they are. Coaches come and go. They have to balance their...

Re: Wk 10: Marietta (6-3) @ Warren (6-3)

Did you get on here and talk about her like you talk about other people’s kids? Was she not good enough because she didn’t go D1? Were you only happy with her team wins if they came against ranked opponents? Did you harp on her nonstop about games she would’ve won? I’m curious about this too. He wo...

Yes and they draw Bishop Watterson which averages over 40+ a game and giving up less than 13 a game.
You cant rain on this parade. We're just glad to make the playoffs. lots of celebrating in Vincent tonight.

Re: Wk 10: Marietta (6-3) @ Warren (6-3)

It's been a while since the stakes have been this high for this rivalry game. Almost a de facto playoff game. Not quite win and your in, but a must win to keep the hopes alive. Marietta doesn't throw the ball so it will come down to Warren being able to stop the run. I pick Warren to win a close one

Re: Warren @ Point Pleasant

Reading through the Warren forums is about like reading through Ohio State forums. More haters than anything. These are kids, don't know why people feel the need to dunk on a bunch of 16,17 year Olds, and the people who support them.

Re: Warren @ Point Pleasant

Warren still has an outside shot at the playoffs IF they win out. A win tonight gives them a winning season. I think Warren pulls it out.

Re: Week 5: Warren vs. Paintsville

Interesting fact about Paintsville. It's the alma mater of country singers Crystal Gayle, and Tyler Childers. Go Blue Childers is the man. You could throw a dart in eastern Kentucky and have a good chance of hitting a country legend’s hometown. Stapleton, Sturgil, Patty Loveless, Carly Pearce, Dwig...

Playoff points aren't impacted by margin of victory. Sure it would be nice to win "pretty" but the main thing is keep winning and keep improving. I'll take 7 gritty "ugly" wins.

Re: Week 3: Warren @ Logan

Carr has a chance to be one of the greatest backs in Warren history. I saw it in him last year, and he's taken his game to another level this season. As for this game at Logan. We always called it the purple palace when we played, but we knew it was going to be tough to leave there with a win. Logan...

Re: Week 2: Morgan @ Warren

Warren is making a habit of giving away games they should won. I was impressed with how Morgan played vs Marietta. Warren has to make some adjustments defensively, or this physical morgan team is going to run all over them. I want to pick Warren to win this one, but I just can't trust them at this p...

Re: Wk 1: Circleville @ Warren

A wild 4th quarter. Warren had chances to win this game. Circleville scored a TD with less than 2 minutes remaining, which came after a Sealey interception, which came after a Warren defender intercepted a pass out of the end zone and tried to return it, and being tackled at Warren's 1. A great game...
