Re: Best Player of all time
Quite a few good ones at Ironton and Burg. Charlie Kitchen in my opinion from Ironton was one of the best to ever suit up for the Tigers. Had a three year average of 24 pts and 14 rebds. Lesser games than now and no three point line. Dennis Gagai can be put in that catagory also.He had more games an...

Re: Zane Trace (19-4) vs Ironton (15-7) at Waverly
Zane Trace 52 Ironton 45 Zane Trace kept playing, Ironton went into complaint mode and didn’t know how to get out once ZT showed they weren’t going away. ZT took a lead and just added on behind a patient attack and really good D down the stretch. Do you think it might have something to do with Iron...

Re: Portsmouth Lady Trojans 2024-25
Proud of our Lady Trojans!! They gave Mt.Notre Dame all they could handle. Down 10 points going into the 4th quarter, PHS battled back to take the lead, but in the end MND came away with a 54-47 win. What PHS showed against a very good D1 team was that they fought back when down, and that they neve...

Re: Ironton Classic 2024
Tigers looked pretty good for the first outing of the season. Will take some time to come together on both ends of the floor. Get in shape and get their shooting eye. Heard the starting lineup and also they mention Ironton leading scorers from past years. They left one name out from past years that ...

Re: Ironton Hall of Fame
I dont think the HOF commiittee makes it a priority. Very little time and energy is put into it. There are many that have not been mentioned for the HOF., Jimmy Morris, Heath Brownstead great running back. Gabe Lewis. All great football players for Ironton to just mention a few. As far as basketball...

Never forget she left Ironton bc they told her brother she wasn’t good enough to play there!! The great Ironton told her ...

Re: Best Gym/Gym’s in SEO
Waverly has to be the top with the downtown arena. Especially during all the years of the Holiday Classic being the Pike County Tournament it is the most exciting HS game atmosphere you could find anywhere. I absolutely agree with Waverly being the best and it just has the atmosphere that one loves.

Its a 2 man race between Miller from the girls side or Combs. They’ll let others apply but the new coach will be one of these names. MLittle with the inside scoop? I was told Fitch did not apply when asked which surprised me. Excellent coach with solid teams year after year. I have not heard Miller...

I don’t think anyone is saying Harvest Prep isn’t a good program. I would imagine going to school there is a positive for the kids that go there. But let’s not act it’s a level playing field. Plenty of transfers happen down this way. But our schools are drawing from an area with what, 100,000 peopl...

I have nfhs broafcast and it is way behind. There isn't a clock on the screen and the score is often wrong. I would bet the announcers are doing the game remote. The camera only pans side to side an I have not saw a close up or a replay. The radio is wnxt.com then chose the 95.7 fox link tab. The S...

Since we talked one state coach into coming out of retirement, maybe talk Mark LaFon into coming out of retirement? Just kidding, of course. I doubt he would come.
