Re: Chesapeake Head Coaching Search
I don’t know the coach personally. But watching for the last 5ish years has been hard. The Peake has had more than enough athletes to be successful and they haven’t been. They seem undisciplined and underprepared so very often. With that being said I’ll politely say, it’s time for a change because t...

Re: Chesapeake (5-4) @ Fairland (8-1)
You can got go live in just shells. Peake’s tackling fundamental's have been atrocious all year. By not practicing the skill correctly in live situations or preparing your body for live situations then would there not be a higher risk of just getting hurt during the game? Conditioning your body is v...

Re: Chesapeake (5-4) @ Fairland (8-1)
Peake’s lackluster coaching staff will shine through again. You will see bad attitudes by players, missed routine tackles, lack of pass coverage and overall just being super under prepared. Not sure how a HS football team can prepare to win, when they haven’t worn full pads in practice since week 1....

Re: WK1 Symmes Valley @ Chesapeake
WHAT???
If Chesapeake does win 2 games, it will be SV and Racine Southern. Peake’s best player and best RB decided to only play bball this year.
And any team Coach Knipp has will be under prepared no matter how much talent they have.

2/24 Sectional Championship Chesapeake vs. Ironton
What a huge matchup for a Sectional Championship!
Game 1 - Ironton + 12
Game 2 - Chesapeake +10
Chesapeake has been playing much better as of late, but I truly think this could go either way.

Wild Finish ahead in the OVC
Fairland, Chesapeake and South Point all with 2 conference losses with Chesapeake holding a half game lead at the top. Ironton and Portsmouth trail with 3 conference losses.
It’s going to make for a Wild West type of show down!!

Here Comes CHESAPEAKE
Being able to take in last nights Chesapeake/Fairland was great! Persin Court was packed and it felt like a battle from 1998-2002. It’s good to see some tradition return, the bearcat type C brings back the years of Chesapeake Dominance. I’m not sure they could ever run off 11 in a row but they are d...

Re: [=== OVC (2023-24) ===] -- Schedule/Results/Standings
I have seen every OVC team play so far and I am by no means an expert, but this is where I would rank them right now. 1) Fairland - They 100% look the part right now. Very deep. 2a) Ironton - Athletic, quick and physical. 2b) Chesapeake - Young and already competing, 2nd half of the season they will...

I won’t eat crow just yet. Maybe my comments woke them up a little. Only kidding. Good for Peake getting this win but I stand firm on how embarrassing the sportsmanship and discipline was in week 1.

Symmes Valley & Peake need to start over
Chesapeake won 39-7 but these two teams were so poorly coached. I know that it is week 1 so I won’t talk about all the missed assignments. However, I’ll talk about all the personal fouls, unsportsman like conducts and penalty’s in general. Both communities should be embarrassed at what these coachin...

Re: Chesapeake @ Symmes Valley 8.18.23
I saw both of them scrimmage already. In my armchair QB position, Chesapeake could be better than they are and SV looks young. Saw a wild game between these two many years ago in Willowood, I think it went in to 3-4 OT’s. I could see the game this Friday doing that.

Teays Valley Christian hasn’t been a prep school for 3-4 years. All prep players are gone and they have a new coach this year.

Re: Norm Persin hired at SW
Why would anyone leave to go play basketball at ND? The most poorly coached team in Scioto County. They’ve had the best team in SOC1 two years in a row and they’ve done nothing with it.

Fairfield Union Hires a New HC
Twitter news broke yesterday that Fairfield Union has hired a new football coach and they didn’t have to look far. Athletic Director Andy Clark has been named the head football coach at FU. Coach Clark will leave his athletic director duties behind him and move in to a classroom setting as a teacher...

Re: SOC 1 standings?
I tell you what, some of these teams are going to be tough outs in the tournament! The SOC1 is 4-5 teams deep, they are making each other better every Tuesday and Friday. I could see another 3 way tie as conference champs go this year.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week 3
Ironton Saint Joe hasn’t lived up to their hype. However they are actually 3-3 on the season with a 7point win against Western Pike and they share a common opponent (Grace Christian) with Green and SJ beat them by more. The Symmes Valley loss is a bad bad loss, but their other two losses were to D1 ...

SJ coming off a 30pt loss to local juggernaut Ashland Blazer, KY. How has Symmes Valley done so far? Does this have the potential to be a good game?
