I would like to see a rematch between Ironton and 14 time state champion Beechwood Ky. I think it was 1998 in the infamous lights out game.

I think Ironton in the OVC in football is an absolute waste of time. You play 4 tough games then sleep walk through the rest of the schedule and 1st two weeks of the playoffs and then have to try and ramp the intensity back up for serious competition after that. Neither Ashland or Russell apparently know what they are gonna get from week to week when there teams take the field. Russell got destroyed 50-10 by an average Lawrence co team.

We aren’t going to turn down Ironton or Wheelersburg. We can’t have more than two out of state teams on the schedule though because of our stupid RPI system. Any team we play out of state no matter who it is we only get credit for playing a 500 team.

Just watched the Wheelersburg Russell game again. Why Wheelersburg ever comes out of that 2 back set is beyond me. Also 24 should have at least 25 touches a game. They went to the 2 back set against Ironton and ran over them and then decided to get back into the spread. If it works don’t fix it.

They aren’t hand picked. They are assigned by an assigner for the state. I will say this though. Most are just bad. Go on you tube and watch the Raceland Rowan game. Had to be at least 30 flags thrown. Most of them on Raceland at home.

Johnson central runs the tight wishbone and flex bone offense. They just line up and say here we come. Try and stop us. This will probably be the most physical game Ironton plays this year.

Ashland has good athletes. They are weak up front where it counts.

This is not the Johnson Central of the past 10 years. Lost entire offensive line from last year and running back got leg broke in fridays game.
