Is that right?
6 of last 7 by my count since 2019 including playoffs, no 2020 game due to COVID
Burg won 8 straight from 2013-2018 including 2 playoff wins

Sometimes in sports and life you come across someone that is just better! Salute them and work hard to get better. I hope Ironton brings home the title!

Re: Wk 14: (9-4) Wheelersburg vs. (12-1) Ironton

How come ironton posters keep saying that the only way that ironton won't win it all this year is if they don't play a clean game or shoot themselves in the foot ?? That's part of the game either you play good or you don't and usually when you play bad imo it's because the other team is just as goo...

Don’t be surprised if the OHSAA rebrackets for the state semifinals….. Region 19 winner may not play Region 20 winner

Yes every single year! Wishful thinking on their part lol

Re: Region 19 Outlook

Looking at the 16 spot, if 5-4 Wellston beats 3-6 Vinton County they would finish ahead of Northwest as would Worthington Christian by defeating 1-7 Bexley barring any major upsets of course. A Burg loss to West would leave them ahead of Northwest as well so not looking good for the Mohawks unless o...

Re: Region 19 Outlook

The top 5 are all favorites to win and if that happens I think it will be: Ironton Barnesville Fairland Columbus Academy Harvest Prep Barnesville gets a ton of points beating 7 Union Local Harvest Prep plays a one win team and I think they drop to 5 with Columbus Academy jumping over them with a vic...

Re: Region 19 Outlook

13 -15 will be very close if Burg, Zane Trace, and Coal Grove all win. All 3 have big point games . I see a scenario where Burg can win over West and still drop 2 spots to 15. Burg limited on secondary points as they lost their 4 non conference games

Re: Region 19 Outlook

I’ve seen on here Portsmouth-Unioto week 1 next year That actually sounds right. I heard the Greenup contract is up also. I think that’s a good game and would like to keep It if possible. Unioto should be competitive and provide good points to the winner each year. My reliable source says Burg-Port...

Re: Region 19 Outlook

If Harvest Prep loses to D2 Cincy LaSalle this week, they finish with 1 win KIPP next week so I can see them possibly dropping to the 4 slot if Fairland and Barnesville win out…… will have to see how the 2nd level points work out

Re: Week 9: (1-7) Minford @ (4-4) Wheelersburg

And the Burg has made it up to #14 in the region. I doubt a win over Minford will give much points but a Week 10 win would give them an SOC Championship and some playoff points. Even though West is D6 now. Of course, let's not look ahead. Anything can happen . I think they will end up there or 13. ...

Re: Ironton is the best team in D5.... it's not close.

I agree this could Ironton’s year! Aside from being very good, some recent D5 powers are in different divisions this season with Perry moving up to D4 and Coldwater and Kirtland being in D6. It could very well come down to Ironton and South Range unless of course the OHSAA pairs them up in the state...
