Re: 2025 Portsmouth West Senators
how has the off season been? has anything changed from the past few lame years?? if they expect kids to mature these days they must be pushed and work on development in the off season. they do it up the river and it seems to kinda work well.

2025 Portsmouth West Senators
coming off an 8-5 season with a loss in round two of the playoffs, where does west go from there? many holes to fill on offense and defense with key seniors graduating. what happens next and can they still keep up winning seasons and will they compete for the championship again?

Re: AD/Head Coaches
west ad sure dropped the ball causing our best basketball player to become ineligible. It’s been a sad, sad situation. it should be a separate person hired as ad, that isn’t a coach. most can’t handle doing both and it’s sad they let money get in the way.

Re: D6 24: (RD2) St Bernard-Elmwood Place (9-2) @ Portsmouth West (8-3)
most good teams don’t need coaching in all honesty. in some cases a good coach will make a difference in a game, but most of the time they and their inflated ego’s cost teams games. another thing good coaches win in practices not in games imo. I have a feeling with this who we have nothing will ever...

Re: D6 24: (RD2) St Bernard-Elmwood Place (9-2) @ Portsmouth West (8-3)
You may agree or you may disagree but I’ve watched all season lil motivation and have also felt I was at a funeral. I’m very passionate about the sport and hate to see no energy. Now is that a player thing or a coach thing? I believe it falls on coaches problem. Certain players who was leading posi...

Re: D6 24: (RD2) St Bernard-Elmwood Place (9-2) @ Portsmouth West (8-3)
Also I’ve heard it for years, DB’s aren’t covering like they should. They are doing there best, because they have never been taught any different. Get a coach in there that will teach them to do better. It starts at the top and goes down hill. Let’s do better as a system it is true the db play has ...

Re: Burg vs West
This should be a running clock. As I stated in other SOC team vs Burg threads, Burg will win by a running clock to all SOC teams. No SOC team can hang with Burg. That's just the truth that some don't want to admit. west shouldn’t even show up I guess lol. all you people might get shocked. if the pr...

Re: Burg vs West
West will need to keep things simple and do what they do best. Making major changes will not end good for them. West Defense will have to play their best game of the year to stop Burg! I have noticed that this isn’t the same Burg Defense and I think West can have success running the ball all night. ...

Re: Week 7: Valley (1-5) @ Portsmouth West (4-2)
I too have some worry about this game. despite record valley is well coached and still have some good athletes. If parker is out, west still has two others who run really well. I would have to assume the game plans haven’t changed from previous weeks, still really predictable on both sides. that in...

Re: Week 6: Portsmouth West (3-2) @ Minford (1-4)
Rain all week and 80% chance game day. it is going to be sloppy.
west will probably have a game plan much similar to the hillsboro game, so doubt much passing will be done. west with the much more powerful team, so yeah they win big in this one.

Re: Week 5: Waverly (3-1) at Portsmouth West (2-2)
West can’t stop the pass. Every team has hit deep balls against them. The defenders don’t turn to look for the ball. Waverly will stack the box to stop the run. Waverly will win big because West starts late every game. 35-14 Waverly. They have certainly made it hard to argue your Statement. Over th...

A very ugly 1st half on both sides of the ball. 2nd half they finally adjusted and it worked out. It never gets old waking up to a win.

Probably not going to be easy, but west gets a win in the home opener.
