Re: Coaching Openings

Everyone knows he was brought in to coach this special team, the goal was the State Tournament, with Roberts back I hope he decides to make one more run at it, even if that means resting up over the summer and letting Fenton handle the day to day operations until November. From a distance, Fenton d...

Re: What Does Waverly Need To be a top team in the area next year?

I agree with @danicalifornia

the speed of the game is so much different from one level to the next. To jump two levels is a tall order. Physicality at the Varsity level isnt’t just a term, it’s a real thing.

I could see it in another year

Re: D3 Regional Semi-Final, Northwest vs. Malvern

I am super proud of our Northwest team. The support we have had from our students, faculty and staff and community has been incredible. Thank you all so much. Big crowds at the Convo, easily more than any other school and last night was no exception. 2 full student sections for a midweek game. Outs...

Re: Harvest Prep v North Adams

... I always have a problem with the Central District teams looking at the SE District/Regional as a "bump in the road" to them getting to the Final Four ... For what it’s worth, I don’t necessarily think that’s the case this year — and it could be that it may not be the case anymore in t...

Re: D3 Regional Semi-Final, Northwest vs. Malvern

playing fundamentally sound, not turning it over and taking good shots is easier said than done sometimes. But NW is very capable of doing that. Especially With Scarberry at the helm. If you graduated from RH, you might have crossed paths with scarberry. Appalachia does present a set of problems pe...

Re: D3 Regional Semi-Final, Northwest vs. Malvern

Agree on your scouting report on Malvern. They have a guard, Burrino, who is outstanding. Gotta limit him. They are long, deep, and talented. Interestingly enough, one of the criticisms they have faced from fans of other IVC schools is that they didn't have a very challenging schedule. They play in...

Re: D3 Regional Semi-Final, Northwest vs. Malvern

Just in the tournament, Malvern is averaging 67.5 points per game and giving up an average of 43 points per game. Oooof. They’ve played a great schedule. Beat Garaway and Maysville as well. Malvern is also long and athletic and utilizes the space of the floor from baseline to baseline. In order for...

Re: POY in Soc3 predictions

Then That would be wrong. I saw Roberts have the same attitude. But both of those players produced “a player of the year “ performance. Although i agree with wobycats observations, im not sure i do on this one. I think a players attitude is very important and can influence some not to vote for them...

Re: N W VS BURG

I was all over NW because they didn't play Burg or Minford during the regular season. I can understand why now, Scarberry wanted to get his team confidence. Losing to burg in the regular season may of gave his team some doubt and that doubt may of carried over into tournament time. NW to me is a co...

Yeah, what happened there? Saw it from the other side of the floor and was curious as to what happened. He was yelling Obscenities and pointing his finger at Burg’s Superintendent I feel sorry for the kid. He’s talented. Hopefully he can hang in at the burg but I’m not sure dad will let it happen. ...

Re: N W VS BURG

In the post season, I feel that maturity is a trait that comes into play - if the opponent goes on a run, being able to understand that the game IS a game of runs so you don't get flustered or if calls aren't going your way, you have to still keep your head in the game, focus on execution at both e...

Re: N W VS BURG

The officiating wasn’t the best. But they were equal opportunity officials for both sides. Was it a very Physical game? If you watched, then you know. NW has 4 seniors, who have been thru the gauntlet and can handle it. Burg has some underclassmen that didn’t handle it well. great win for Mohawknat...

Re: Jeeps vs Tomcats 3/8/24

This might be the game that currently holds the state record for most wins between coaches. Norm going for number 800 and Howie with over 600. 1,400 wins between both coaches. Yet, more people are wanting to talk about pacifiers and poop. You’re talking about 2 coaches who have done it the right wa...

Can the OVC sweep the DIII District Semi-Finals at the Convo this Sunday evening?? After seeing all these teams play multiple times this Sunday's matchups could easily go either way. Thought?
