Re: Best Memories of Rivalry Week
My last game! Week 10, 1979. Warren and Belpre played to a 0-0 Tie. This was before Ohio went to overtime. Memorable for many reasons. During the 70's Warren and Belpre was a great rivalry. Many friends and dating across district lines. If Belpre had won, they would have shared the TVC in a three wa...

Re: Week 2: Morgan @ Warren
I'll take Warren in this one, but if Warrens refuses to mix up the defensive front and get out of the 3 man some, they will get trapped to death between the tackles. Thus giving up 1st downs this will keep Warrens offense on the sidelines. If the defense gets the stops Warren offense will be too much.

Re: Week 6: Tri-Valley (3-2) @ Morgan (3-2)
It sounds like a nice event at the Morgan County Federal Covid Relief Memorial Stadium. It appears to be similar to the event Warren held when their stadium was updated. Even though all schools hold such events, it seems obvious that Warren will never be able to hold or have anything unique to Warre...

Re: Week 2: Warren (1-0) at Morgan (1-0)
No new taxes. Paid for through the CARES Act and the American Rescue Plan. The last of the three deadlines for money allocation/expenditure is something like 9/24/23. I believe most of this spending fell under the student health and wellness loophole.

Re: Week 2: Warren (1-0) at Morgan (1-0)
This facility was built with what the district stated covid relief funds and oil and gas funds. The district received 83 million in covid relief funds. The entire sports program is new. New weight room equipment. All new track equipment. New side by sides, golf carts. Flipped the softball field. Muc...

Re: Week 2: Warren (1-0) at Morgan (1-0)
No one should feel like an outsider or visitor in The Morgan County Federal Covid Relief Memorial Stadium. Every taxpayer in this country is paying for the entire facility. 74 million dollars. All through the loophole of student mental health and adding a small classroom space, which will quickly be...

Re: Week 2: Warren (1-0) at Morgan (1-0)
I have watched both teams and I am very familiar with Morgan. The last two contests, which I predicted Morgan would prevail, was because Morgan was more physical. This year that is not the case. I do not believe either team will be able to line up and run the ball without successfully establishing a...

Re: WK 2: Morgan (1-0) @ Warren (1-0)
Two evenly matched teams. Two different offensive styles. Morgan, slower more methodical pound it at you and Warren's big play. That is what we saw last night and would see if they played six more times this year. Morgan kept the big play offense on the sideline in the second half and when Warren di...

Re: WK 2: Morgan (1-0) @ Warren (1-0)
The opening Morgan drive against Fort Frye resulted in a TD taken off the board due to a penalty. The fact that Morgan did not score on Fort Frye is more to the credit of the Forts D, not a knock on the Morgan O. Just ask John Glenn about the Forts D.

Re: WK 2: Morgan (1-0) @ Warren (1-0)
I have watched both Warren and Morgan this year. If Warren wins it will not be because of Morgan's defensive front. I believe the game will be higher scoring than last year. Last year the difference was that Morgan was considerably more physical and it looks like the same this year.

Re: Week 3: Williamstown, WV @ Vincent Warren ( Sat 7)
Warren is young, but so was Morgan. The difference in that game and this game with Williamstown, is the lack of physical play at way to many positions on both sides of the ball. Hopefully their nice guy mentality will transform into the nasty football player mentality along with their time in the we...

Re: Week 2 Warren @ Morgan
Morgan settled down on defense and continued to pound it on the ground. The starting tailback for Morgan was able to go and pretty sure he had a lot more yards than the young one for Warren. Morgan was so much more physical.

Re: Week 2 Warren @ Morgan
I have watched both Morgan and Warren against three opponents each, in person or on film this year. Last week while watching Warren against Belpre I really felt that based on what I saw, Morgan would defeat Warren. But.....This week morgan will be without the starting tailback/OLB, starting center/I...

Re: Coach Day leaves Warren
I see from the list of names for paid staff positions, the Parkersburg based athletic director and head coaches connections were not lost. I see a lot of names reunited on the staff at Warren from six or seven years ago. It did not stick, too many issues. The only paid position exception I can see, ...
