Re: 2025 Regional Tournament Sites
As a Webster fan I would rather D7 be played at either the convo or Barn Any Central District teams you're looking to avoid? Or not thought that far ahead yet? Just to throw in my 2 cents... Not really looking to avoid any teams, but if the Jeeps manage to stay healthy all season they'll be hard to...

Re: OHSAA: Behind Closed Doors..Adding Basketball Divisiosn
There is not a huge gap with all divisions, like there is for D 1. D 1 is a joke how they divide it up. Football got it right and now basketball needs to follow the same path. Differences in enrollment from the divisions top and bottom number teams: Division 1- Mason has 1300 boys and Bedford has 3...

Re: 2023 OHSAA State Boys Basketball Tournament Attendance Numbers...Down From 2022
For information purposes relating to the initial post, Northside Christian has been around for 40 years. I don’t think they had a winning record for over 20 years though until the stud moved in. His dad, who coaches the team, does have lots of AAU ties though from what I’ve heard. It’s possible I he...

If it was street ball, wouldn’t that favor the AAU team instead of amish kids?14svt wrote: Fri Mar 10, 2023 8:21 pm I guess the Refs let them play street ball

Re: Unioto vs DeSales...Regional Semi 3/11
I still hate how these games are officiated. The crew we had did a decent game considering where the sport is headed. It was fairly called. I know I sound like a broken record but I don’t like the direction the sport has gone over the last 5-6 years with how these games are being called. I just don...

Re: Trimble vs Grandview.
Grandview is a very good team that plays excellent defense. I see them beating Hiland by 12 I see it being a lot worse than 12. Grandview is legit! It's weird. Grandview is absolutely legit and returns 2 of the 3 key players who won a District in D3 last year, but I don't think they are invincible....

Re: Trotwood Madison score from last night
They play state ranked D1 Hilliard Bradley on Saturday. What a contrast in styles! Bradley has only allowed over 50 points in a game a handful of times over the last several YEARS. And Trotwood more than triples that last night. Anyone want to try guessing the score of that game?

From what I've heard, he got a negative review and was more or less unwelcome. Amanda sort of has a habit of this so it does make sense.

Re: Congrats to Harvest Prep !
I'm in Ontario, which is halfway between Columbus and Cleveland. :P That's right around the Mansfield area if i'm correct. I remember Clear Fork and Lexington having good high school teams in various sports over the years in that area. :D You're correct, I work at AK Steel in Mansfield. Go Warriors...

Re: New Hope Christian
I’ll add that New Hope plays a very difficult schedule (or at least they did last year) and likely would have been a top seed in the D4 Central District tournament had they been able to play (most schools they play are Central District). They destroyed D4 District finalist Tree of Life and have also...

Re: Most Likely SEO Team To Make It To Columbus
Not to turn this into a D4 Central District thread like last year, but Tree of Life returns 4 starters and only lost 3 seniors, all role players. As far as unknowns, I would have to think they would be easier to peg than other teams since there is such little turnover. I would have to think they wou...

Re: Federal Hocking's outlook 2018-2019 season
I am pretty sure that OHSAA rules give you 10 days of instruction time no matter who is coaching them. So, if Coach Thompson, along with whomever coached the team at the Elite Center, during the Summer League, etc. had more than 10 instructional days with them, they would be in violation of the rul...

Re: Shoot out at The Elite Center
Yikes. That's one of the most basic rules that every coach should know. Or maybe they were trying to be sneaky about it and classify it as an open gym because their coach "wasn't coaching." Like mondayamqb said, this needs to be self-reported immediately to minimize the punishment. Follow...

Looks like they had 9 threes, which is probably right around their season average I would guess.

Re: Wheelersburg vs harvest prep
No worries! The school I have an interest in has less than 40 boys enrolled, none of them super athletic. So to have to face them or a similar cheating team every year was very frustrating! I wouldn’t mind a private/public split, but putting those tiny non recruiting schools with the cheaters like P...

Re: Wheelersburg vs harvest prep
Not to interrupt because I have no dog in the fight, but lumping Grove City Christian into the list of recruiting schools just sounds bitter to me. They’ve won one district ever and went 9-14 this season in a bad central district. Believe it or not most private schools don’t recruit. There are somet...

Re: Berlin Hiland vs Fairfield Christian Tues.@6:15 at OU.
Fairfield Christian was 8-14 in the regular season and have gotten hot at the right time. They won the district at the #7 seed. They are well coached and have one dynamic player, Caleb Collins, who averages over 20 points per game. But truthfully there were no great teams in the Central District for...
