Re: Monroe Central 24-25

[/quote] Time will tell. Striving to become like Fort Frye was during the Dan Liedtke era is a good goal and possible (that is Lang's role model). The success of this year will positively impact that next several years of kids to come into the program. I do not think replicating what Hiland is doing...

Re: Monroe Central 24-25

What’s the future of sports at MC? Are we slowly turning into a basketball school? We’ve got a great young coach that is building a great program. To win on the state level in football you have to have 60 kids completely bought in and focused in the weight room, during the summer, and obviously dur...

Re: Monroe Central 24-25

Does anyone know what Gator Nichols (star player for Maysville) connection to Monroe Central is? He wore a Monroe Central t-shirt during our game and participated in the shooting contest (I think) during one of the breaks in his MC shirt. I am 80% sure it was him but didn't hear any confirmation on ...

Re: Monroe Central 24-25

This will be the first game all year that I believe Monroe Central will be at a talent disadvantage on the floor. That doesn't mean they can't win, because they can. But this will mean we will need to play our "A" game to win and hope that Marion Local does not. The teams are pretty much a...

Re: Minford vs. Lutheran East

This was a very entertaining game to watch. I have been to about a dozen different sites for tournament games this year and the ECO Center is the nicest actual gym I have been to this post season. Lack of good parking is my only complaint for that facility. Minford just didn't play good enough defen...

Re: Minford vs. Lutheran East

I will be making the long drive from Cleveland down to the ECO Center for this one, after a pit stop in Canton for Glenville vs Hawken at 1:00. Hopefully no OT in Canton because the timing of these games (and distance between them) is going to make it tight to get to both on time. Looking forward to...

Re: Monroe Central 24-25

Monroe Central was fortunate to survive such a poor performance shooting from 3 and the foul line. That is the kind of game that often will get you knocked out of the tournament. They showed good composure when Kirtland came back and briefly held the lead. The key plays of the game were the banked i...

Re: Monroe Central 24-25

Otterbein does look bigger than Ohio Dominican in the pictures I have seen. They have bleachers on one end court that gives a few hundred more seats. Hopefully the facility is prepared for the early arriving crowd that is about to show up. I was watching the last MC steam the other night while I wa...

Re: South Webster vs Cornerstone Christan at ODU 3/14/25

If he plans on letting his team run and play up-tempo like they usually do, I think that will be a mistake against LUE. He knows his team better than I do though, so I will enjoy watching them try! Normally when your group is at an athletic and quickness disadvantage, you want to slow the game down ...

Re: OHSAA Seven Division Boys Basketball - "Lucy, you got some 'splainin' to do" Boys Basketball State Semi Final Schedu

The whole premise of this article is based on bad information. It claims no boys games are being held in high school gyms but Canton Fieldhouse IS Canton McKinley's high school gym and will host 4 games.

Re: Minford vs. Lutheran East

Minford's strategy should be to try to get Crumble in foul trouble. Not much size on their roster aside from him. LUE's guards are excellent though. It will be a mistake if Minford tries to run with them.

Re: Which SOC III Team has the better chance to bring home a STATE TITLE?? (Maybe Both??)

I don't think either have a great chance at winning two games, but I would give Minford the better chance. Hard for me to envision Russia losing this year. I have seen LUE lose to teams they should have beaten. The same can not be said about Russia.

This game likely is as simple as whether Kwasniak is hot or not? He is going to get up about 35 shots in the game. I think South Webster wins.

Re: Monroe Central 24-25

If I could pick one of the 3 remaining teams, Kirtland is who I would pick. I like Monroe Central to win this one. Only seen Kirtland play once though (this past game against Dalton). Their best player appears to be their small point guard. Teams have similar size.

I hope this isn't true about the location. Otterbein capacity is listed at 3,100. That isn't big enough! Put this game in the Canton Fieldhouse.

Re: Beaver Eastern vs Monroe Central

Another convincing, low stress victory for Monroe Central. Good overall game. They limited their turnovers after the first few minutes of nerves and took command of this one early. Got to give a lot of credit to the younger, stocky Leist kid who did an excellent job of bodying up on Tucker Howell an...
