Re: Federal Hocking's outlook 2018-2019 season
There was a time when the only team instruction permitted to school coaches was during the actual season of play. In the early 1990’s, Coaches Associations – again spearheaded by the OHSBCA – lobbied for an opportunity to spend time with potential teams. Basically, school coaches (remember there is ...

Re: Federal Hocking's outlook 2018-2019 season
Expectations?? The only expectation in place should of been to just compete with what they had coming in and I think we were in almost every game but maybe 4?? Heck we won two games for the first time in two seasons and could of won about 10 more including at Waterford the defending champ minus that...

Re: Federal Hocking's outlook 2018-2019 season
The dumbest thing the powers that be did was get rid of Dunnigan. He actually wanted to be there!! He brought a passion and discipline that the program desperatly needed. When you let the inmates run the assylumm for so long it can be a culture shock when someone wants to actually change it and rule...

Re: Logan coach steps down
I read this and thought Logan's coach now stepped down.... its a bit much to drum up a topic from what, over a year ago to take a shot at a new coach!? Yes they are 0-2 but as a parent I can say this team and this group is in good hands. We are so much better off than we were a year ago. There is di...

Re: Scrimmages
Fed Hock will scrimmage @ Portsmouth ND Saturday, home vs Glenwood on Nov 14 and @ Chilly Huntington on Nov 18. How did the scrimmages with Portsmouth Notre Dame and Glenwood go? Lancers won 3 of 5 quarters vs PND and looked very good. Last week vs Glenwood the Lancers had 2 bad quarters but played...

Re: Kevin Dunigan hired at Federal Hocking
Fed was at the Denison Shootout over the weekend and competed well I'm told. They were 1-2 on the day with a win over Fisher Catholic and losses to Fairfield Christian and Newark Catholic. They were beating Fairfield Christian late but couldn't hang on. Not sure of scores but sounds like some good y...

Re: Gallipolis tops Meigs 38-33 in pre-season tilt
I think the 4th period stats for Meigs are incorrect. Vanaman is no longer on the team and was not kicking in the 4th. Both TD's in the 4th period were by Trae Hood from quarterback Cody Bartrum. Kicks were Josh Schwabe. Hood also had a long TD run from Bartrum that was called back on a penalty.

As for the quality of the team, the team was the West Virginia USSSA Junior HIgh Champions last year, and finished in the top five in the state of Ohio. Both Nations and USSSA tournament play.

Re: 13 year old looking for baseball team
The team practices at Federal Hocking High School. We are planning a minimum of 6-8 tournaments in Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Columbus, and Wheeling as well as some local ones around Parkersburg. If you think you may be interested, please send me an email and I can discuss details with you as we are...

Send me a message if you are still looking. I know of a team that may still have a spot, but it is a very competitive team with an extensive schedule.

Re: Top 10 8th grade boys programs.
Federal Hocking 7th grade team is 6-1, while the 8th grade team is 5-2, however, both of the 8th grade losses were by 2 points and in both games they were missing a key player who was out with an injury-he is now back and I do not anticipate they will lose another game. Not sure of all the stats, bu...

7th grade Lancers score another win tonight against Wahama bringing their overall record to 4-1. I believe the final score was 54-24.

Re: trimble tomcats 8th grade beats fed hock 43-41
I believe that you are correct Super Trooper. Sheets is the high scorer for the 8th grade team and he did not play in this game, but will be back right after Christmas break. The game was very close as it was, and as for the 7th grade game...I saw a post about Trimble leading the state in blocks etc...

The 7th grade Lancers are currently 3-1 after soundly defeating Trimble tonight at Trimble. Couldn't agree more though, what a great coaching combo!
