A win over West thru Week 9 puts Waverly (by my caculations) in 6th place with the no real chance to jump up to the top 4 and be able to host.
That being said, Waverly needs to worry about River Valley and get a win. Just go out every week go 1-0 and take it game by game.

Re: Playoff Expansion
I would like to do away with the regions all together and take the top 32 from each divsion. This way it doesn't hurt the 9-1 or 8-2 who has a tough region. There was an 8-2 team who was 9th in the region and 15th in the divsion that team shouldn't be left because they were in a brutal region.

Re: SOC2 WK7 Waverly (5-1) @ Wheelersburg (6-0)
It looks like the weathermen are saying a very slight chnace of rain under 10% I didn't know that was possible for a Waverly at Wheelersburg football games, seems like it always rains.

Re: SOC2 WK7 Waverly (5-1) @ Wheelersburg (6-0)
doubleplay643, If you're looking ahead to Week 14 in Week 7 you won't get to Week 14.I doubt the Burg coaching staff will let that happen. Now as for this game. IMHO Waverly played better than Wheelersburg did last year at Waverly. For that to happen again, the Tigers need to get the offense going e...

If not is there an address for the field?

Re: WK4 (3-0) Waverly @ (1-2) Fairland
BigDog, I think US 23 S and then up over Rosemount to US 52 E to SR 7 may be just as fast. I mean with the exception of Rosemount I think the roads are pretty good. Mapquest shows about a 10 min difference (with 23 S to 52 E being faster), I mean in the end it may be 6 one way and half a dozen the o...

Re: WK4 (3-0) Waverly @ (1-2) Fairland
This is a long bus trip for the Tigers. I think the Waverly defense is getting a bad rap. The adjustments made at halftime are better than what people realize. The Tigers first team defense has given up 1 TD in the second half in three games thus far. IDK much about Fairland, They hung with West, be...

Re: WK1 Piketon @ Waverly
Piketon will win some football games, After tonight I have no doubt. Going in I was not sure of the QB position but Mr. Galloway played well for a first start. Waverly was more run-oriented than I expcetd but Kritzy did his thing over 100 yards on the ground and a couple of scores, Howell looked com...

Bigdog,
There is indisputable evidence on least two digital cameras Kane Jordan had one foot down with full possession of the ball. IDK how the ref blew that call.

Re: WK1 Piketon @ Waverly
Brooker is a big blow for the Waverly "D", I hate to hear that he was injured severe enough to require surgery. I was hoping it looked worse than what it was. Sad to see a kid get hurt anytime, but more so in a scrimmage. Looks lke great weather. I have sunshine with a high of 76 and low o...

Re: WK1 Piketon @ Waverly
Does anyone actually have a diagnosis on Brooker? I know it looked like a knee injury but does anyone know if he tore anything or was it a hyperextension or dislocation. Not trying to break HIPPA or FERPA rules just wondering how the young man is doing.

Re: 2017 Waverly Tigers
Tigers ran the ball well for the most part tonight I thought. Kritzy ran hard and on the TD called back he made a couple nice cuts after the hold and showed some speed. Clayton looked comfortable in the pocket, he did get rushed a few times, but the worst throw I saw was the pick at the end of the h...

Re: Will Portsmouth Notre Dame have football this year?
It used to be I believe you had to play at the closest school that had a program, but ALL the kids from ND live in some school district. Clay, New Boston and Webster are the three in Scioto County that don't have football, unless I am forgetting somebody.

Re: 2017 Waverly Tigers
Health is a key for teams with limited depth. I think our line is more than capable if the pieces are in place. But we aren't Columbus and Cincinnati schools that go 3 and 4 deep at every O-line position. Stay healthy we should be ok.

Re: 2017 Waverly Tigers
Orange and Brown, They may very well being doing some upgrading of their facility, I did not know that. That could be the reason this is ZT's first home game maybe by being "the only game in town" on Saturday they have a chance to "show off" what they have up there. I have not be...
