Re: DV R19
I know we are mainly about SEO, but with Prep being involved in the conversation, it opens up the whole region. Lets not forget about two undefeateds in the mix in Columbus Academy and Barnesville. I know CA has some state titles/title games in its history. This region has more than 3 or 4 contenders.

I predict a cancellation by CG by Thursday no sooner. They will make it impossible to get a replacement.

Re: Solon Forfeits Game To Euclid Due To Safety Concerns
Solon and Euclid are "Cleveland area" schools. As far as the OHSAA goes, it will be called a no contest. This is becoming a slippery slope. Cancelling games because of safety concerns is a real thing, but where do you draw the line? Oak Hill is using player safety as a reason to cancel gam...

Re: Since when is 4-1 an insurmountable lead?
4-1, late in game. Team A is ahead and gets first two runners on and to second and third with zero outs. Team A has not hit ball well all day. Team A executes a successful squeeze with the #7 hitter, then repeats success with #8 hitter to make it a 6-1 score with the two insurance runs. After the ga...

Since when is 4-1 an insurmountable lead?
Is it "unethical" or bush league to get insurance runs in a 4-1 game in the 6th inning by using "the old squeeze play"? I could see if it were a 9 or 10 run game, but a 3 run game?

AC got shellshocked last week by Fairfield Union at home. Lost the Time Of Possession battle 10mins to 38mins. Now, yes, FU runs an offense practically no one else runs but still. For some reason AC hasn’t fared too well at “The Pit” this season. Just curious, what offense does Fairfield Union run?

I’m still confused, Pantherfan, how does the visiting team make the call to cancel a game, over a half hour away, when they haven’t seen the field?

Apparently so. SOC needed to step up to the plate on this one and didn’t. Shame on them for letting such a precedent to be set. Schedules be damned. Burn up your #1 and # 2 pitchers already.....just refuse to play.

Re: New Boston Glenwood Tigers 2020-2021
So New Boston cancelled at the request of St Joe, is that correct? 100% erroneous. Some of Lawrence County roads being bad is the only thing Coach Cox said that was true. New Boston’s higher ups cancelled this game, I believe at someone’s request, and it not being St. Joe. Why would some obscure co...

OHSAA doesn’t give a hoot about private or public school recruitment. As long as school/AD “verifies” paperwork, it’s all she wrote.

Yea not so fast volleyball lover. If you’re on here trying to stir up an already vastly fingered pot of unknowns then take it elsewhere. If this were to happen I can guarantee one thing and that is that St. Joe would answer the call. The diocese of the Midwest would definitely step in and probably ...

It is an error, not a hose job. Everyone makes mistakes, players, coaches and referees.
An old coaching axiom, if you leave the game close enough for the official to make a difference, you’ve got nobody to blame but yourself.

Re: Rules and Moral Question
As a former coach and referee, both make mistakes. It is unfortunate but both make mistakes that cost games. None are perfect. The rule was administered correctly, even though it stinks. I have made a similar mistake that was made here as have most all officials, if they have the balls to admit it. ...
