Re: soc 2
There is no doubt this league is one of the best in all of Ohio. Along with Wheelersburg, the competition will be tough. You can bet West, Oak Hill and Waverly will all be near the top. Minford, Valley will have some competition from Northwest this season. Northwest program has come a long way and t...

Re: Division III Tournament at Valley
I would agree with toast, Northwest is probably better than Lynchburg Clay and Piketon. Northwest went in early in the season and beat North Adams and had a few nice SOC II wins as well. They play in what is most likely the toughest league in Southern Ohio.

Northwest's Luke Brown signs with Kentucky Christian
Congratulations, Luke on your accomplishment. We all wish you all the luck and success at the next level. Your high school career goes down as one of the best ever at Northwest and another great player goes to the next level from the SOC!

Re: Peebles 70 Northwest 27
I do agree that the shove from the NW player was uncalled for and he did receive a flagrant foul call for it. Arey looked over at specific fans and clapped his hands after making a free throw and looked over at the at different times when they were voicing their displeasure at the refs and shook his...

Re: Peebles Vs West Union 12/16
Haven't seen WU this season and am not sure whether they'll be worse than NW however, this should be a similar game. Scoring was spread pretty evenly. Chandler had a good game and took advantage of the slower bigs that NW had inside. Big problem with NW height is that they are slow and can't do much...

Re: Peebles 70 Northwest 27
I cannot blame the subs for playing hard. I'm not knocking that at all. When they get an opportunity, they should play hard. They continued to press with the starters in the game. I don't believe that NW fans were directing comments toward Trent. They were directing some frustration towards the refs...

Re: Peebles 70 Northwest 27
Peebles is very young. They are going to be a good team and should put up a good defense for a league title. The Mohawks are also very young and don't sport a whole lot of talent. They will have a long season. I attended the game last night and noticed a few things that I didn't care a whole lot for...

Does anyone know what colleges are interested in Keller?

Re: TOP 5 COACHES (SE) Ohio
That could be true. I'm not sure. Judd's boy played for the Jr. team this past summer as a freshman. He's an up and coming talent. Gonna be a good one.
Re: All SOC
Congrats to Luke Keller. Its great to have someone from our area earn this award! However, case is not closed. Luke Brown, although it was not first team, was All-State as well. May be the first ever from Northwest. Again, to have accomplished this with the surrounding cast that he had was incredibl...

Congrats to SOC II players Luke Brown, Taylor Ward, Linus Schnack, Jake Knight, Erik Gambill as well as the other area players on the list. This is a great accomplishment!

Re: TOP 5 COACHES (SE) Ohio
Peebles won a district title in 1999 and lost to Trimble in the Regional Semi's in extra innings, 2-1.
Re: All SOC
I can respect the last post. I would like to see those numbers and overall yards from scrimmage including punt and kickoff returns as well. It would be interesting to see.

Re: TOP 5 COACHES (SE) Ohio
I think Peebles' Judd Johnson could be added to this list. He's had a good run at Peebles with a few league titles, Sectional Championships and a District Championship on his resume.
Re: All SOC
To say that Keller has a "totally different level of ability" in comparison to Brown is completely inaccurate. I would agree that Valley won the division and made a deep run and most awards were deserving. I am just stating the facts that if he had Valley's line in front of him, he would h...

Re: TOP 5 COACHES (SE) Ohio
A lot of great coaches have been mentioned...esp. Shuler, Estep, Martin. I think Judd Johnson at Peebles can be placed in this group. He's coached there for probably 10-12 years now and has had some good teams, a few sectional titles and a district championship.

Re: All SOC
I believe...from what I observed this season....Luke Brown from Northwest should have garnered Back of the Year honors. No disrespect to Keller, but Brown did more with a lot worse line than what Keller had the luxury of having.
