Re: Piketon transfer
Just moving in district was the old rule, but now in order to not sit out 11 you have to give a good reason on why you had to move to the new school district when the parents have a conference with OHSAA.

Re: Peebles VS Eastern Pike
Don't see eastern within 15. Watched them play Western at Eastern, Western played really well, but Leist in foul trouble hurt Eastern bad, it really showed how Eastern wasn't that deep. Pebbles seems to have a much stronger bench, which I think will show tomorrow. Good luck to both teams.

Re: WAVERLY
At the beginning of the season I was worried about Waverly's ability to score points. This has been a common theme since Travis has been at Waverly. Could someone tell me what they think the reason is? Is it the offense? Number of shots taken in practice? Confidence in their shot? I've watched more ...

Re: Clay @ Western for the SOC 1 title !
Western made a nice run to the end of season in the SOC. Congrats to Clay on their win, not an easy place to come in and get a win. For whatever reason, Western seemed to not come ready to play. Seemed to be playing behind from the start. Western foul shooting has got to get better or they will have...

Re: WAVERLY
Ok, I love the confidence uk and I hope your right, but Waverly scoring 29 points against Northwest in regulation makes me question if we are going to be very, very good anytime soon. I am not seeing a true scorer on the the floor. Our best scorer has again been a transfer. I've seen very good jr hig...

Re: Division 4 Sectional at Northwest
Came out to Pebbles Saturday Night and both teams gave it all they had. Yes, PV may not always shoot that good but they did against Pebbles which shows they can do it against anyone in the Northwest Sectional. East has picked up a few wins such as Rose Hill Christian that aren't close to PV out of c...

Re: Waverly Basketball 2014
Offense has been an issue since Robertson took over. Not sure why. What is really weird is 2 of the top 4 scorers in Waverly history played during the Robertson era, yet how many games have we watched where Waverly barely breaks 40 pts for a game. But think about it, how many really good shooters ha...

Re: Jr High Basketball
It would be interesting to know how many undefeated junior high teams have translated into dominate teams by the time they reach juniors/seniors. There are so many factors that are advantages at the junior high level. Teams that have the size and aggressiveness at this level have a huge advantage. ...

Re: Coach Young Classic (North Adams)-Jan.17,2015?
Lynchburg had a nice team last year. What do they have coming back this year? This should be the best game of the classic if they have a lot returning.

Re: waverly basketball 2014
With football season winding down, time to start thinking about hoops. Lot of basketball players not playing football also. How are we looking in open gyms? Anyone have any thoughts on the upcoming season? I think Waverly will be a lot better than people think. I'm ready for some hoops!

Re: Hillsboro Coach Resigned?
Hard to believe Hillsboro has fallen this far. Like others have said, stability is the key to success. Remember Waverly having some good games Hillsboro with back in the late 70's/ early 80's. Hope both teams get back soon.

Re: Western loses Garrett
With what Western has returning, I think they will be fine. From what I saw last year, offense was not the problem. If this team learns to play some defense and play hard I think they will win their fair share of games this year.

Well don't forget we lost Rowe and Brewster, both would have played major roles in the next couple years for the Tigers.

smurray,
Any scores from any of the quarters? The 8th grade had some nice players last year, have any progressed enough to help this year?

That is true Waverly has lost a few varsity players in the past couple years such as Thornsberry to Eastern,Rowe to Minford, and last year Brewster to Western.

Re: waverly basketball 2014
I know its early, but the holiday classic should be very interesting, not sure if we can win it again next season. The other county schools didn't lose much.Although, who knows with a good transfer anything could happen.. BTW I stood beside Chapman not to long ago and 6'3 is more like it,unless he...

Re: Predictions for SOC I, II and OVC
The SOC 2 should be Minford, wheelersburg, and Waverly going by good young groups, I could see Eastern,Western,East,Notre Dame(recruits) the next couple years in the SOC 1
