Re: Camellia Bowl
Touché FT45!!! Listen, The SEC is not as good as past years, this is fact. Also, and I'm certain the filter won't let this through, but I'll type it anyway and see what it subs. ARKANSAS IS DOG poopy I definitely agree that it wasn't that good this year. Still a very good conference, but nowhere n...

Re: Ironton v. Wheelersburg. Week 12
When cox hit Howard 10 yards deep in the end zone was a total lack of sportsman ship... I can see making an effort but come on... The onside kick up 35-7 is pretty close with coaches and players going wild after it was recovered. If the game is close at all, the onside kick is the right play there....

Re: BESIDES TURF, WHAT'S NEXT FOR THE IRONTON FIGHTING TIGER
Athens in week 6 is not a done deal. We have expressed interest in playing at The Tank next season and would really like to get the game done but I have been told that Ironton would rather find a different option if possible and is even considering an open week on the schedule. As a fan I hope this...

Some background on HSJ... Obviously, the go-to kid is Mychal Johnson. Signed with Notre Dame and has been murdering teams this year. She has been exceptional. Their second scoring option is Griffin Dempsey. Griffin is signed with Charlotte. She is a deadly outside threat. I have personally seen her ...

Would imagine we would have a win or two by now, but two of our top three guards are down to injury. Coach LaFon is coaching his tail off right now, but our schedule is difficult like always.sparky wrote:ironton at 0-10 is hard to believe. they usually just reload.

Re: Ironton Football and that Brutal Scedule!!!
Was the schedule tough? Yes, certainly. Would the 1999-2006 teams complain about the schedule? No. Truth be told, we just have to keep coaching these young guys up and get them ready for next year and the years beyond. Just because we had a bad year doesn't mean we should blame our schedule. Fact is...

Re: week 10 (3-6) Ironton at (7-2) Raceland KY
You can not believe it if you want, but it was the same scenario in '06. I know of all of this first hand. But what you have is coaches who want to keep te program in tact, but there's people behind the scenes who don't want it that way. Can't speak for 2006. I can say, however, that the AD and boa...

Re: week 10 (3-6) Ironton at (7-2) Raceland KY
One thing to remember folks, is the head coach asked 'the powers that be' if he could pick his staff.. And that never happened. So, if any questions need to be directed at anyone, ask the people who don't want the football program have a chance to succeed.. I find this very hard to believe. I'm sure...

I guess we'll agree to disagree. What they did was dumb and immature. I would far from consider someone a thug for selling their own stuff, hell I sale my stuff all the time to buy new things or something I'd rather have. Am I thug? Furthest thing from it lol. If they went out and stole all of the ...

I agree with what you're saying. USC was hammered, they definitely took a huge hit. OSU is product of the ole case if falling in a pile of sh*t and come out smelling like a rose. We were very fortunate the quick turnaround and the events that happened following the sanctions. Everyone knows the uni...

Re: Yahoo Sports uncovers SEC problems
As much as discipline is deserved I'm sure nothing will happen. The NCAA is so inconsistent with their rulings that a minor penalty may be issued at best. For some reason everyone now a days finds it neccessary that amateur NCAA athletes should be compensated. Although when Reggie bush did it at US...

Good to see a young coach get a chance to succeed.
Kayla played for Robin. Anyone that played for her graduated witha much higher basketball IQ than when they arrived to SSU.
Kudos to West.

This really sucks for Florida. The women have had tremendous success and I attribute it to playing in the ALC. I'm sure northwestern will be glad to get away from them.
