Re: D5 - Region 19: (#7) Coal Grove at (#2) Oak Hill

Oh I wasn't saying anything negative about you. The second paragraph was being directed elsewhere. Thanks again for the lesson. I just figured that Oak Hill implied a plural sense as it is a body of several individuals. Alas I cannot make it to next weeks game as college requires too much time to tr...

Re: D5 - Region 19: (#7) Coal Grove at (#2) Oak Hill

Thank you boogerred for your insight. I suppose for the first statement I could have put Oak Hill by the word “they” in parenthesis to show possession of the term offense, as I was referring to Oak Hill’s offense. As for the second statement you would not say “fans sits” but rather “fans...

Re: D5 - Region 19: (#7) Coal Grove at (#2) Oak Hill

Ok Mr. 2trap 4ever. First off I want to say you need to check your grammar and spelling, absolutely dreadful. Next I want to ask you where in the world you get off thinking you know everything there is to know about football, which begs the question, did you ever play? Anyone that watches Westen Hal...

Re: New Coach at Oak Hill

The Oaks lost a good senior class and basically their top three pitchers. They lost one player to transfer and both all district players from a season ago and will have to rely on young talent. Ryan Boggs will have to step up and throw a lot of innings for the team this year. Garret Fulk is anotheer...

Re: Oak Hill Baseball 09'

As a former Oak I can tell you that the pitchers indoors CAN through breaking balls. Lets not over exaggerate. The baseball team is dealt a raw hand but it's not that bad. In addition these blogs are bad for the players. The only reason I have commented on this one is because people come on here (us...

Re: Oak Hill Baseball 09'

Football can play outside in the rain because it doesn't affect the conditions that bad. If you play on turf your set. In baseball the rain doesn'y work because the ball gets water logged (meaning it is ruined as the rain penetrates the core and soaks it). Also you can't slide in the rain as the cla...

Re: Oak Hill Baseball 09'

Practicing in the gym just doesn't cut it. You can work on fundamentals inside and use thundersticks and wiffle balls but at the end of the day it doesn't cut it. Baseball is a mental game as well. You have to go over game situations like pickels, bunt coverages, pickoffs, etc. That has to be done o...

Re: Oak Hill Baseball 09'

The baseball team is allowed to practice on the football field so long as they don't hit. Unfortunately they can't practice in the gyms unless they use squish balls. Practicing in the rain is a nice thought but the baseballs get waterlogged. When you are a baseball program without monet you can't bu...

Re: Oak Hill Baseball 09'

I completely agree with you. You do need those three components to find success. As far as the talent goes Oak Hill last year had five hitters over .300. They had two who were either .400 or close to that. Last year they had two all-district players. The talent was there. With that being said they l...

Re: Oak Hill Baseball 09'

I'm glad that you mentioned basketball. As I recall the exact same group of kids that no one cared about won a district title in Norm's first year. That is because he knows what he's talking about and has been to the top. His players respect him and he will not settle for anything less. Correct me i...

Re: Oak Hill Baseball 09'

Why don't you guys stop blaming parents. The parents don't hire coaches and the parents don't prepare the team to play the game. No disrespect to any coach affiliated with Oak Hill's baseball program the last few years, but enthusiasm is just not there. The only people who showed up to the games wer...
