Re: Warren @ Belpre - Week 1

Looked more like the Warriors of old last night. So good to see Coach Welsh back where he belongs. One can only wonder what might have been. Getting rid of that baseball coach always plugging in his political favorites at split-end and DB instead of the best players is finally making a difference as...

Congratulations to the coach as well....Continuing to churn out competitive distance runners season after season doesn't happen by accident. Enjoyed watching your intensity at districts every year.

Re: 2009 Warren Football

There were very few, if any individual stats published in the Times last year.
Does anyone know the catches / yds for Cox, Hoon, and Venham on the season?

Re: WK 7 Portsmouth @ Warren

How did the winning scores come about in the second half? Two FG's or a TD? Had to go to work and can't find an article or stats anywhere on-line. For whatever it's worth, the majority of the most blatant blown calls against Warren FB the last 10-12 years have been at home. The '06 loss at Portsmout...

Re: WK 7 Portsmouth @ Warren

It's actually been 7 years since Warren won 4 games (2001) and 9 years since the last winning season. Royster is a burner, similar to Chilli and Zanesville's fastest. Warren's passing and kicking game will show improvement for the second week as the result of some good coaching and instruction. Mayb...

Re: WK 6 Meigs @ Warren

Warren's QB is a junior. He is not that "young" anymore. Clay knows how to throw the ball, and has the best O-Line since 2001. Warren has three ends 6'4" and over with good hands. It would be refreshing to see the TE Dump again. Santini used it effectively for quick first downs, out o...

Re: Week Four: Warren (2-1) at Marietta (0-3)

MariettaPride21, wow give some love here. No threats? Dunfee is one of the top two or three 100m runners in the area, but we have no threat, speed is speed no matter if it Hilliard or Philo or who ever. South had -1 yards rushing, 43 yds passing for the game. Warren played with a will to win. You s...

Re: Warren vs. Belpre 2008

Dunfee had one big KO return at home last year, in that heartbreaking Jackson game I think...He may have had another, but I didn't check the stats. Just stating that i thought Wellspring to be the more dangerous return man, but mostly on punts. Line play will be the big key in this game...I expected...

Re: Warren vs. Belpre 2008

For Warren, I think Wellspring actually had the longest runs from scrimmage (90 yds at FF) and the biggest returns last year. Dunfee is slightly faster, but doesn't shift and spin out of tackles like Seth could. If Andrew turns the corner it could be a long night for Belpre, but he has to get out of...

Re: sacrificing your wants for the teams needs

Wilson's 4:18 in the 1600 was a PR and oh-so-close to Tyler's School record of 4:17.10 set at state last year. Cantley's 3200 PR and school record was 2 weeks prior at districts. Dils was fresh for the 3200. This was not likely to be a repeat of districts when Galen had ran the 1600 as well. After t...

Re: Wins and Losses-Warren is 84-0, and counting.

Well, the math I employed may be different from others, but I have the final tally of
Warren Boys Wins and Losses at 245-2.
Defeated only by Sandusky Perkins and Pemberville Eastwood.

Warren Boys Team 3rd Place at State !!

Very Well Done Guys !! :)

Re: Wins and Losses-Warren is 84-0, and counting.

Well, as of 2:45 pm after the Boys 200M, the score is Sandusky Perkins at 48, Pemberville eastwood at 39.5, and our boys at 30.5 Sandusky and Pemberville are done for the day, and Col. East can't catch us with only the 4x400M. We would have to go 1-2 in the 3200 for the 18 points we need to pull thi...
