Re: GAHS FOOTBALL 2013
I believe that the next coach should come from inside so it provides some continuity in a program that has moved back in the right direction.

Re: GAHS FOOTBALL 2013
I hear that a coach who interviewed last time is a leading candidate after having since put a couple of nice lines on his resume.

Re: Portsmouth Trojan's Next Head Football Coach
Do alumni count as outsiders?
I heard that Alex Penrod from Gallia Academy interviewed twice. I would hardly call a young man who played at Logan and coaches at Gallipolis an insider.
Is there any reliable info on this site?

Re: Portsmouth Trojan's Next Head Football Coach
I am sure that there have been very some good football coaches who have expressed interest in the Portsmouth job. The question remains, "Can any of those good candidates be put into teaching spots in the Portsmouth Schools?" What teaching jobs are going to be open? What teaching certificat...

Per pages 18-19 of the OHSAA football rules, there must be a 28-day no-contact period after the last game.

Re: Portsmouth Trojan's Next Head Football Coach
The Portsmouth City Schools have a moral obligation to hire the person who is the best mix of classroom teacher and football coach, if they go outside the current staff.

Re: Portsmouth Trojan's Next Head Football Coach
In regards to hiring a new coach from outside, what teaching jobs will be available? People talk about bringing in a coach, but I doubt that the Portsmouth schools can pay somebody $70k just to coach football. Most families can't handle a $10k income cut, so even if there are teaching positions, tha...

Re: River Valley Coach Resigns -- for real?
One would think that non-teacher coaches would be the wave of the future in Ohio, especially with the way Kasich has cut budgets to non-charter public schools. schools wont be able to make jobs for coaches, an i guarantee the PE teachers will be cut first. Is it true that the school district is expe...

Was TC Beaver considered for the South Gallia job? He has coached down there and has experince coaching at the collage level.
He would be a great fit for the rebels.

Re: What does Gallia Co. football need?
When compared to the list above who do not have new buildings, South Gallia doesn't fit in because all of those are the ONLY HIGH SCHOOL in those school districts. South gallia benefits greatly from having a big brother school like River Valley. if the tax base of mercerville patriot and Gage were a...
