Re: Is The Trimble School Distirict finished
I am not from Trimble, but there is one thing I can attest to.... Trimble loves their school and their athletic teams!!! Losing the Tomcats would be devastating to the people of Glouster and its surrounding areas. If grit and determination can stop this from happening, their is no chance of the Trim...

Re: Passing the Ball
I really like the passing tree. I think that using a number system such as the tree can be very helpful if you are a smaller team without unlimited talent at every receiver position. If each route is represented by a number, it is easy for kids to know what route to run (no matter if they line up at...

Re: Logan vs Reynoldsburg-2010
I had a chance to watch Reynoldsburg last year... I think they are a little better than their record, and they have some very talented young kids coming up. It probably wouldn't show up yet, but if they can keep their talent together, they should be much improved in 2-3 years. If that happens, it co...

Re: Nelsonville-York 2nd in Districts and Back in the State Dual
Had the chance to watch all the Wrestlers on Channel 15 this weekend, and I was very proud of each of them (I know a couple of them drew into an absolute buzz saw, but wrestled hard the entire tournament). Congratulations to Coach Yinger and all the outstanding wrestlers from NY... Each of the kids ...

Man who would want to hear that coach from NY talk???? That guy never shuts up!
Just kidding Coach Yinger. Congratulations. I won't be able to hear you guys but I'll be thinking of you and your boys. Good luck.

Re: SE Sectional, Div III, Jackson OH - 18 teams
I just read about the Buckeye Team Sectional Title in the paper Congratulations boys (and Coach Yinger) on another outstanding season. Also, a special congratulations to Zach Hook, Dakota Hook, Thomas McLaughlin, Bobby Leitwein, and Zach Mays for winning individual honors Keep up the hard work, and ...

Re: Nelsonville-York, Belpre and Warren final results
Tric118- Had a chance to see a little bit of the match on 15... Kids looked great! I was running late and didn't think I was going to see much, but when Thomas, Bobby, and both Hooks decided to pin their guys in under a minute... I got to see a lot more than I thought Congratulations and keep up the...

Re: Derek Arnold at the next level.
Derek would be an excellent fit at D3. Otterbein has a wonderful academic reputation and it is far enough away that you get the actual "college experience" but close enough that you can run home if you get too "homesick". I really hope that this happens for Derek. I don't think h...

Re: Logan Football Coach Resigns
This was rumored some time ago, and everyone thought that Coach Wolfe was the next in line. Now that it has come to pass, Wolfe seems like a logical choice if Logan chooses to stay "in house".
Are there any other names being thrown around for this job???

Re: Any D-1 Offers for Logan's Patrick Angle?
You know I hate it when I hear people say he is only 6' 1" tall. Since when is that not tall enough for a College QB??????? Look at Drew Breese. He is ONLY 6'1" and not only did he have a great college career, but now he is destroying the NFL on a weekly basis. I'd rather have a 6'1" ...

Re: TVC-Hocking 2010
So what is going on with Dyla?????? I have heard that he is already at Nelsonville-York, but that is completely un-official. I know there were rumors of him going to Fed Hock and Athens, but now it sounds like he is at NY. I am not trying to start gossip, I am just trying to verify where he is.........

Re: Can you coach the game without playing the game?
I guess it is possible, but playing the game has so many obvious advantages. You understand what your players are going through, and why certain things are important. Further more, I believe that the more you play (College/NFL) the better prepaired you are for coaching. Obviously there are exception...

Re: WHO BELIEVES STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS SHOULD BE IN COLUMBUS.
Honestly, after attending the last couple state championships, I will probably stay home and watch them on TV next year......... Everything is just getting too far, and too expensive to justify. If however, my team goes OR the championships are moved to Columbus........ Count me in, I'm there! Drivi...

Re: WHO BELIEVES STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS SHOULD BE IN COLUMBUS.
Honestly, when you read the posts on this site, there really isn't ANY logical or logistical reason that the games should not be played in Columbus. It comes down to money and politics....... Just like in College football, you ask ANY average fan and they will tell you that they want a playoff syste...

Re: RIO GRANDE FOOTBALL POLL
I remember when I was a freshman in College ('90), everyone said Rio Grande was getting a football team back then.............. Obviously it didn't happen. Good luck this time around. I would love to see it happen. I think a lot of local talent would see Rio as a feesable/reasonable way for them to ...

Re: WHO BELIEVES STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS SHOULD BE IN COLUMBUS.
It is a no brainer that all kids in the state, including the cleveland kids, would much rather play at Ohio Stadium rather than a high school stadium any day...That is a huge thrill to be able to say that you once played your state championship game at Ohio Stadium...not a high school field in cold...

Re: Any D-1 Offers for Logan's Patrick Angle?
I think it is funny that we talk about Mt. Union and say they are "JUST" DIII. Mt. Union plays DIII football, but most of their players are at a MUCH higher level. I would love to see Angle play at Mt. Union...... Think about it, in a 4 year career there if you win just 1 national champion...

Re: Hypothetical Week 16 - Who would win these matchups?
Davidson would beat Winton Woods. Winton Woods has talent, but no where near as much talent as Glenville. You watch Glenville and Davidson, and you think that Davidson is going to get run off the field, yet they hang tough, make the plays they need to and find a way to win. ...... Besides, even if W...

Re: WHO BELIEVES STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS SHOULD BE IN COLUMBUS.
The other thing that is pretty dumb about having the Championships in Stark County, is it is the COLDEST part of the state! Don't get me wrong, I'm no wuse and I like football in the elements, but many people do not. Now obviously there isn't any part of Ohio that is tropical that time of year, but ...
